Just a bit about me:
I am 32 years old, from Newport South Wales. I live in my own home with my husband, fur baby and my first child on the way.
I have come from a busy household during my childhood, having 3 sisters, I am used to the bickering, loving, helping and borrowing of each others clothes and just having people who are always there for me.
I am very reliable, trustworthy and punctual, my parents always set the standard that you get up and you go to work, I have always lived by this so it takes a lot to keep me home, I have to be really ill to take a sick day.
I am very sporty, am a black belt in TaeKwon-Do, enjoy running and attend the gym regularly as well as badminton, tennis and running. I also love the outdoors so would love taking the children on adventures.
I enjoy baking, or rather trying to bake. The end result is not always what I had planned, but the children always enjoy the experience and never complain when they are munching down on whatever we have baked.
I enjoy reading, love Harry Potter, completing puzzles and board games. A rainy day would never be boring, we would don on our wellies and coats, enjoy a rainy outside adventure, before a cozy fun time in the house. Or Just enjoy a good old rainy day, playing games, reading and having fun.
My Experience
I have achieved my BA hons in working in children's services, awarded by University of West London.
I have 14 years experience which I have spent mostly in a nursery environment with children aged between 6 weeks and 8 years.
I have gained my experience through working in 6 busy day nurseries and one playgroup. I have worked my way through the different job positions, my highest being co-manager.
I have three nieces aged 18, 16 and 8, and three nephews aged 22, 14 and 10 years who I have been relied upon to care for even before I had pursued a career in childcare. In addition to this, I have often helped to babysit for parents outside of nursery hours.
I am up to date with first aid, food hygiene, behaviour management and child protection training and have also attending small amounts of SEN and Autism training. I have local authority safeguarding training as well as many certificates from training I have obtained over the years. I also have a clean and up to date DBS certificate.
I have a full and clean driving licence and have been driving for 14 years, I have access to my own car.
