About Me
I have been an OFSTED registered childminder since 2007 in East Barnet, with great connections into London with both Cockfosters and Oakleigh Park station nearby.
I live in a four bedroom house with my husband (who also works as my assistant). We have two sons, we also have a pet cat called Finn.
We have a dedicated playroom which is full of lots of toys for all ages, we love doing lots of arts and crafts, and allowing the children to learn through play.
We have also recently converted our garden to create an outdoor space for the children to play outside all year around.
The children have plenty of resources to learn, build friendships, develop and have fun!
We are always going on outings to Willows Farm, Woburn Safari Park, Southend on Sea, local parks, playgroups and the library.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since 2007 and have looked after children from 3 months to 11 years old. My husband has also been registered as my assistant for the last 5 years.
We enjoy being around children of all ages and watching then develop and learn. We go to local toddler groups, parks, sure start centres, parks, farms, libraries and soft play. I am also a member of Willows Farm and visit here quite often.
I follow the EYFS for under 5's and provide daily videos/pictures of all activities that children are doing throughout the day.

My Availability
My working hours are from 07:30 til 18:00 Monday to Friday, however I am very flexible if different times are required.
I can pick up from St Mary’s EN4 and Churchill school.
I do pick ups from Hamden Square, Brookhill nursery & St Margaret's nursery. I also offer pick ups from Blue Planet Montessori, Cockfosters.

Laura has been looking after my little boy for one year and I’ve had nothing but an amazing experience.
Her kindness, flexibility, honesty and her warmth toward all the children is one of a kind.
We get updated with lovely pictures of what my son is doing. She does amazing activities and takes them out on some amazing trips.
She cooks fresh and healthy food and we my son even wants me to cook it at home ;)
My son has flourished so much in the last year and that is all down to Laura. As a first time mum leaving my son so young was so hard, Laura reassured me from day one and now he never wants to come home. He smiles as we drive up to her house and points.
Thanks Laura for being an amazing childminder and for all the hard work you put into your job- also for the way you treat my son as one of your own.

My daughter has been with Laura for three years and is off to start school in September. My daughter has developed in all areas of her learning and we have been updated of her progress.
They go on amazing outings from Willows Farm, Paradise Park, RAF museum, Gruffalo Woods and so much more. My daughter will miss Laura and Richard so much.
We get updated with pictures and videos also.
If you’re looking for a home from home setting with the love and care in the world- you just go to them. All kids are treated as part of the family and are all loved.
Thanks for having Lottie and she will be visiting in the school holiday ;D

Truly outstanding in every way….
I don’t even know where to start, both Laura and Richard have been amazing from day one. Both our children are going to miss them both so much when we move out of the area. They will for sure always have a place to visit on the South coast.
From the start we have always felt reassured leaving our children. They instantly fell in love with both Laura and Richard. My daughter says they are their second mummy and daddy.
They are always going on adventures to the beach, Willows Farm, Woburn Safari Park, local groups/ soft play centres and to local parks. We get updates and pictures of what our children are doing.
Their development is always tracked and if there was a problem we worked together to reach their targets. They did a range of activities and followed their development.
We will miss you both and the kids will especially.

Laura and Richard what can I say about them, words haven't even invented yet, I would like show my appreciation to them for how well they have taking care of my daughter.
They treat all of the kids like family, teaches them and guide them.
Taking my daughter on trips, loving her and having patients with her, I'm so glad I chose you guys, your like her second parents, I can't show you how much gratitude for your time and consideration I have for you.
Keep on doing what your doing. You bring joy to the children and parents, and so much comfort to feel rest assure.

When I started looking for a childminder for my son and daughter I was looking for someone caring, supportive and treated the children like their own. I found that with Laura and her husband. They have been a dream since my son and daughter started a year ago.
They provide the best care for my children, they love going to their house and playing with their friends. I drop them off and they don’t even look back, they even get excited when we pull up in their street.
They offer great activities and even go the extra mile. We have had some wonderful arts and crafts. They also take them out on amazing trips ie Willows Farm, soft play centres, local parks, even the beach for the day! We get lots of pictures daily or weekly of what the children are doing.
My son had a speech delay and Laura picked this up early stages of his development, we talked about it and she was the first one to get the ball rolling for all the support he needed. Thanks to her professionalism, he’s developed into a very chatty little boy ;)
I can’t thank them we enough for what they have done for our children.

Laura and Richard have looked after our daughter for over two years and I couldn’t be more happier. They have provided top class care for my daughter and she’s always asking to go to their house- even at weekends!
They provide daily updates of what the children are doing and you can see how happy the children are with them both. They have a lovely playroom and garden that is full of every toy a child could wish for.
During the pandemic they have provided childcare throughout and have been very cautious and kept all the children safe. This was very reassuring for me and my family.
They take the children out on daily outings to the park, Willows Farm, Woburn Safari Park even to the beach!
They provide a home from home environment with home cooked food. Amazing childcare setting they will always be part of our family xx

Laura and Richard have been looking after my daughter for the last year. She settled really well and was always happy to go and stay with them. The communication was always great, with our own whatsapp group, specifically for my daughter, where we were sent photographs and we as parents were also able to update Laura and Richard on anything we needed too and they were both always happy to oblige! Softplay was a favourite with my daughter as well as all the other activities that were available! She also made lots of new friends and her confidence grew under the care of Laura and Richard. Both will be missed by my daughter (she is now at school) and I am so happy that we found them! Thank you so much for all that you have done xxx

What an amazing childminder I have found! I can praise Laura and Richard enough. My kids have been with them since February and I’m so happy to leave my children with such amazing people.
Everyday they do an outing out either a soft play or toddlers group or even a trip to a farm. During the school holidays they take them on adventures to Southend on Sea or even to a museum. I’m always kept up to date with what is happening and what my children are doing. They always keep me up to date with my youngest development and keep is updated should any problems arise.
They are both so loving to all the children in their care and treat every child like it is their own.
I’m so pleased to have found such fantastic people and anyone that is considering placing their child/children with them I would 110% recommend them both(providing they have space of course 😉)

Laura and Richard are so lovely and enthusiastic about all of the children in their care.
They have looked after my son and daughter for over a year now. Both of my children enjoy going to their house and taking part in the different activities. They particularly enjoy outings to the soft play and farm.
I am kept full up to date with needed information and regularly sent photos of the my children playing/enjoying activities.
Laura and Richard are very flexible with the care they provide and will help you in any way they can which is invaluable.

We have been with Laura for over a year and she has gone above and beyond to look after our little boy.
He’s had the most amazing time with her, they go on many outings to the park, soft play, Willows Farm and even to the beach.
He has so many resources to help him develop and we are constantly kept updated with his progress. She provides home cooked meals and it’s all fragile prepared. The menu is excellent with plenty of choices and nutritional with different varieties.
