My name is Mel, my husband is Allan
Our business in called Mellytots childminding and nursery. We are located in the Eccleshill area of Bradford, just opposite Cavendish primary School.
**We currently have a full time and one part time vacancy available **. We also have after school places available for Cavendish primary and st Brendan’s first school
We have two grown up children at university, both living at home and studying to be teachers.
We have been established for approximately 12 years . I have been registered for that long and Allan 9 years. We have a very good reputation locally and have seen many of the local children through to school age.
We provide both childminding and nursery services from birth to aged 12. We provide before and after school cover for Cavendish Primary School and St Brendans Primary School.
In our last inspection we were graded as Good childminders by OFSTED
We offer a fun, clean, safe and caring setting with lots of toys and many many educational activities both inside and outside.
We have a very spacious modern playroom. The garden in enclosed, very large and has many toys including a playhouse.
We have lots of fun on outdoor activities, including nature walks in the woods, trips to the park etc. we take the children out every day.
We provide hi vis jackets for the children to wear for safety.
We make pictures from resources. We include these in development records which all the children have at the setting.
We provide drinks and healthy snacks during the day at no extra cost.
We provide a home from home setting with lots of fun. We know how difficult it is to find the right childcare. If you would like to contact us you are more than welcome to arrange a visit. We can provide the relevant OFSTED and insurance documents.
References can be provided. Reviews from a few of the parents are accessible on this site to read. The care we offer is on our premises, we cannot offer offsite care.

MY EXPERIENCE
I have been registered with OFSTED for 8 years, I've cared for children from four months to teens, I have NVQ3 qualifications which gives me a professional nursery nurse qualification. I also have two grown up children of my own and dont think we've done a bad job!
My Experience
We are both fully qualified first aid trained carers. We are OFSTED registered and can provide early years care to the age of 4. We are registered to provide free care for children from the age of 2 and 4 in certain circumstances. Please ask for details. The setting is filled with fixed activities to meet all the childrens needs. In addition, we provide varied and interesting activities in groups.

My Availability
The setting opens at 7am and we can provide care to 6pm. We are open in the school holidays when we can provide either specialist holiday care or continuous cover for our term group. The setting closes annually for 2 weeks in the six week holiday and during the Christmas school holidays..

mel emma and alan have become part of our family we would absoloutly be lost without them, my children love them and we have all built up such a great relationship mel has become a great freind to me helping me through some of my struggles in my personal life all through childminding my children they are both amazing people. Hope to have we have brilliant future together as 1 big family and continue to work the way we have

Mellytots have looked after both of my children and had my youngest daughter from a very young age. I have always felt very comfortable leaving them in their capable hands. Every need is catered for which has meant that my children are developing well both socially and academically. Their approach is very hands on which means the children love going -in fact I often have tears when I go to collect them as they don't want to come home!

My daughter has been at mellytots since she turned 2 years old she absolutely loves it so I decided not to send her to a school nursery but to continue early education at mellytots until reception. both Mel and Alan are lovely friendly people who I've always felt comfortable leaving my little girl with :) xx

Both my children have had the best times at mel and Allen's. My eldest is 8 and youngest 4 and both have had different but amazing experiences whilst here. Both Mel and Allen do the best they have to make sure my girls exceed in life by giving them experiences they enjoyed. Weather it be crafts making seasonal work or going to the woods for an adventure out.
I was truly sad when both left to go I to school but the confidence they had gained to be able to go to school was amazing and I can't thank Mel and Allen enough for that. For giving them the independence an confidence to succeed.
I would without a doubt recommend nellytots as your childcare provider. If I were to have any more it would be the first place I'd take my child when it came to going back to work.
They made me feel happy about leaving my children while I worked.
Defiantly friends for life
