About Me
For native English speakers, the idea of learning Mandarin can be quite daunting. The roman based alphabet is dropped in favour of Chinese characters and the spoken word is tonal. Yet there are many plenty of commonalities if you look deeper.
Most students will learn faster if they are having fun and can see practical applications for their newly earned language skills. I use multimedia and role play where possible to keep students engaged and motivated.
Passionate about Chinese language and culture.
Awarded diploma (nursing) at Tianjin Medical University in 1992. Worked in the Neuro Surgery department of Tianjin General Hospital 1992-2005 before deciding to travel and work overseas.
In 2005 I was lucky enough to come to England in where I met my (now) husband. We have two (bi-lingual) children.
