About Me
My name's Donna, I'm an Exmouth based childminder.
I have been a childminder since 2014 and work closely with my mum, who is also a registered childminder and lives next door to me. My sister works alongside both of us so as you can imagine we offer a very close home from home setting. We enjoy spending most of our time outside enjoying the fresh air and learning about the world around us.
I am married and have 2 teenage children. Between both houses we have 4 very happy active spaniels. We thrive on being a close family and thoroughly enjoy working together to offer our mindees the very best love and support. In my spare time my husband and I run a Cub and Scout Group which we love.
My Experience
When I started childminding 10 years ago I may have questioned how much experience I had, however, I was extremely confident that I knew my job well and had a good understanding of what was expected of me to help the children in my care reach their developmental goals. 10 years on and I still love my job. I love helping children reach their milestones and creating the best memories in their early years.
I have enjoyed growing bonds in the years that I have been a childminder and as previously mentioned I run a Cub and Scout pack which has given me a wealth of knowledge and experience over the last 19 years.
Best of all however, I'm a mum!
My Qualifications
I attend training regularly and often do courses online to keep myself up to date; this includes safeguarding training, paediatric first aid, behaviour, speech development to name a few.
