I am based in central St Albans I have over 26 years experience in childcare. I have full childcare qualifications a current DBS and a full driving license.
Being a parent myself and working in the education and child care sector for over 20 years. I know how important it is to be responsible and provide constant supervision of your child. I make responsible decisions that keep your child safe while you're gone.
I have a strong passion for cooking. I throughly enjoy creating new recipes and sourcing fresh ingredients. I love the outdoors this includes walking, having picnics and enjoying the countryside. I have an interest in travelling, exploring new countries, learning new cultures,
I am looking for a nanny position that allows my 6 year old son to attend occasionally in the school holiday. ( These will not be full days only dropping him at holiday club). I am a non smoker and I do have my own car.
My Experience
I have been working as a nanny for the past 8 years I have had the privilege in this time to work for two families. Full time and part time. I have worked with newborns, twins, school aged children. I am good at implementing structure/ routines, supporting their school life such as homework and educational activities. I organise play days and fun days out. I have good organisational skills, I am able to run a household with common sense. Previously I worked in a Primary school from early years to year 6.
I worked for many years as a Teacher in a pupil referral unit for secondary aged young people. This role was providing education in a caring manner for young people with Autism, Down's Syndrome, ADD/ADHD, and other learning disabilities. I am fully SEN trained I am passionate about meeting young people’s needs.
I have the ability to form warm, responsive relationships with children and I have a positive, friendly attitude. I am fully trained and have all childcare and teaching qualifications.
Furthermore I am trustworthy, reliable and punctual.
