My Summary
About Me
CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE
Hello, my name is Zoe!
I am 32 years old and I have over 11 years of childcare experience, as I was always interested in childcare, child development and psychology. I love children unconditionally. Nurturing their curiosity and helping them learn is one of my greatest joys in life.
My experience and qualifications:
- Over 11 years of childcare experience
- Worked with children ranging from newborns to 9 years of age
- Experience with twins twice
- Premature twins experience
- Worked as a nanny, taking care of children independently as well as a mothers-help
- Travel with children experience
- Attending toddler activities together: BookBug, Tumble Tots and similar, swimming classes for babies
- Homework support
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- University graduate with a BA (Hons) degree
- Music School certificate (8 years, Grand Piano)
______
Having worked with families with various approaches to parenting, I favour the French way of childcare and parenting. My recent readings include books by Catherine Crawford and Dr. Fraçoise Dolto.
Strictness. “If being strict means forbidding what is dangerous, then yes, be strict - but with compassion and always respecting the child, who is an adult in progress”
Structure/Discipline. “There are reams of research out there showing that kids tend to thrive when they have structure and routine in their lives.”
Wellbeing and healthy overall development of children matter to me greatly. I have seen examples where a) parents never prohibit anything, and b) where parents draw clear boundaries. In the case of a) children constantly try to challenge, negotiate and throw tantrums, which results in distress and tiredness of both parents and children. In the case b) children feel safe and channel their energy towards learning and play instead of excessive tantrums.
My Experience
In addition to my experience listed earlier, I have included some of the reference letters. Families can be contacted via phone/email and more references can be provided.

Reference Letter for Zoe Ugne Marcinonyte
Zoe has been a full time and part-time nanny/ babysitter to our family of twin girls for almost 2 years since our girls were 4 mo old.
Zoe has been very professional, punctual, committed and very caring throughout her time with us. She is a very responsible, honest and trustworthy young lady; she has a very sound judgement in child care matters and she also loves working with children.
We are very protective parents and there is no other person we could trust our children like we trust Zoe. At the moment, she occasionally babysits for us (when want to go out for dinner) and we don’t worry or feel rushed as we know that our girls are in good hands.
She has been excellent at looking after our little girls and our girls have loads of fun with her. She has looked after our girls like they were her own family.
My husband and I would give a 5-star recommendation for Ugne as a nanny or a babysitter to any family who is looking for a perfect, loving and caring person to look after their children.

Reference Letter for Zoe Ugne Marcinonyte
Lithuania
I am writing to recommend Ugne Marcinonyte for a babysitters position. I met Ugne when my son Dom was approximately two years old and I was glad that a caring and responsible person appeared in my and my son’s life. She is the sister of my friend who recommended her as a lovely person who will always undoubtedly babysit a child.
Since she is deeply interested in childcare, Ugne knows how to interact with children of all age groups. As I was watching her with my son I realised that she can easily cater to his needs and deal with his misbehaviour without any difficulty. In addition, Ugne can always offer him plenty of entertainments so that he is in the process of learning things and having fun every minute. When he was little they were playing various games, she was reading to him, which he loved. She also took care of his hygiene (e.g. changed diapers, washed him) and fulfilled his other needs (e.g. made food and fed him). Dom has grown up now and is a five-year-old boy so she started to teach him playing some easy piano melodies, read and count.
Ugne would be a tremendous asset to the family who has children and I recommend her to you without hesitation.

My daughter loves to spend time with Ugne. She was even asking for her a few times after each visits.
I was very pleased to find someone that my daughter would appreciate spending time with when I am away.
Ugne is very tidy, polite and calm, and that's exactly what my daughter needs.
I can also tell that Ugne cares and is interested in the development of the children she takes care of. She brings the fun in early learning activities.
I would ask Ugne to take care of my daughter anytime without a second thought.

Thank you Teddy!
You have an amazing daughter and I miss her all the time :)
I had Zoe as a babysitter and I highly recommend her. Very responsible, truly professional and loving! Our little boy was always very happy to stay with her.
We find Ugne very warm, patient and punctual.
Our 2 year old daughter has been with her since she was 15 months old.
Her calm and friendly nature makes me comfortable with leaving her with my daughter. I can go to work with peace of mind that my little one is well cared for.
She always takes our suggestions on board and asks many questions to find the best way to look after my child.
Ugne always makes sure my daughter is comfortable and happy during the day, takes her out to the park, plays with and teaches new things.
My daughter is always smiling when she arrives.
I definitely recommend her.

Thank you for kind words Sylwia :)
A charming person but most importantly an experienced and responsible babysitter. I recommend Ugne Zoe with no doubt. Our children are bigger now and we need less help but we still keep in touch and ask to watch them whenever we want to have some time for ourselves. Once Ugne went back to uni after summer we tried hiring other girls and had to fire three of them and instead decided to have Ugne helping us part time. We consider Ugne as our family member now and feel blessed with her coming to our lives at a hard time.

I had a pleasure to work with such an amazing family and I am glad we still keep in touch even after I have moved to Edinburgh!
All the best to you and the girls.
