Hi I’m Chrisy
I have been a childminder within the London Borough of Southwark for 20 years
I have all the relevant training and all members of my household have a valid CRB
I work alongside an assistant when we have 4 or more children ... She is cleared by OFSTED and has First Aid, Safeguarding and Observations Training
We have been OFSTED inspected every three years We also have membership with the ICO *Data protection* and Morton Michel who provide my insurance
Our house consists of myself and two daughters in their 20s
We offer care from birth to four years, but prefer to take on children birth to 1 1/2 and hold onto them until nursery age
We do not do school runs or take on children from school age but happily offer continuity of care for our children during holidays once they leave our setting for school.
We also over the years have gained experience with children of various levels with special educational needs
We are a young fun lively household and benefit from two local parks being within immediate walking distance
We love to travel out to many different exciting locations Farms Zoos Museums Tiny Gym etc and listen to what may interest a child and try to incorporate it into our daily schedule while following the EYFS
We use an electronic award winning system for children's observations
These can be emailed or printed out for our parents
We also will take photos on days out and mail to our parents so that they can share in our memories
We have two cats a 7 yr old and 1 yr old
They are both house cats with relevant vaccinations, Our 7 yr old gets involved with the children at play and loves the attention ... Much to their delight
We also have fish which are really good with settling in new children and calming to those already in our care
We think it's really important for children to understand about looking after respecting and nurturing animals and encourage them to help with feeding and watering
Currently we have space for 1-2 children Birth to 1.6 years
We will happily take siblings
My current and departed parents are more than happy to speak to those with an interest of using our service
We have just been freshly inspected by OFSTED and been rated a level 2 Good (June 2018)
Our hours are 8.00am - 6.00pm Mon- Thurs
Due to planned activities we are unable to offer half day care
We also benefit from having Denmark Hill and Peckham Train Stations within close walking distance as well as buses that take you into North East South or West London

*Update*
So as we enter a period of uncertainty.
We have had to change the way that we do things.
For now our day trips have been put on hold until we are given the green light that it can be done safely with no or very limited chance of infection.
But we are taking walks looking at plants collecting stones leaves and conkers while bug hunting ... You do this job as long as I have creepy crawlies are no problem.
We are also adapting to more home activities and have a vast array of equipment.
We do arts and crafts with Pinterest being my favourite go to for ideas.
Along with dance and movement we have started doing baby/toddler yoga in the afternoons.
This helps with balance and coordination.
We still provide everything and try to maintain limited contact on arrival and departure
Our ultimate goal is to continue to provide excellent care while keeping within NHS guidance to keep our family as well as our minded children as safe as we possibly can.

Our fees are available on visit
As a mother of two myself I remember how stressful it was in the morning preparing the children and having to make sure everything was packed and provided for them
We are an all inclusive setting and provide everything your child would need
All we ask for is a change of clothing and the child's red book In case of emergency

My son first started going to Chrisy’s house when he had just turned one years old. Chrisy honestly made the process so smooth for me, as a first-time mum and being so nervous to leave my baby with anyone. From the initial meeting with myself and my boy, to settling him in, to sending me constant photos of my boy throughout the day, and endless updates!
My son enjoyed himself thoroughly at Chrisy’s house and was sometimes reluctant to come home with me!
Chrisy took the children on regular day trips to the zoo, museums, and sensory parks, as well as the local playgrounds – all at no extra cost.
My son was fed home cooked hearty meals every day, and Chrisy always informed me before hand on the ingredients as my boy has allergies. Honestly, she is an angel!
Unfortunately, myself and my son moved some distance away from Chrisy, but when we moved back 2 years later, there was no one else that I wanted to look after my little one. Chrisy now does the school pickups for my son, and he is always excited to tell me what he gets up to after school at Chrisy’s. The latest escapade was growing butterflies from caterpillars (my son is obsessed with bugs!)
Chrisy pours sooo much love and attention into the children as if they are her own, it is plain to see they love being in her care. She is so kind and understanding, I cannot sing her praises enough!

I don't know where to begin but here it goes:
I am a single mum with two small toddlers, a one year old and a two year old. My two year old started when he was around four months as I was volunteering once a week. Then when I went back to work he was attending Monday to Thursday. I then asked Chris if she could have him on Fridays for the first few weeks of having my second son just so I could adjust to a new baby and she said Yes without hesitation, which was VERY kind of her as usually she doesn't work on Fridays.
Shortly after a few weeks my second son joined at 10 weeks old and I went back to work. They attended 4 days a week and really enjoyed the environment that I often get tantrums going home as they don't want to leave.
When I took a break from work for 8 weeks Chris kindly kept the children's space and had them when I was interviewing for part time roles.
I cannot tell you how many times this woman has helped me and gone out of her way to support me and my kids by giving me advice, looking after them whilst I was at therapy and more! She really is a SAINT!
My 2 year old is in the process of having assessments carried out to determine if he is autistic and she has been very helpful as she has experience with SEN children and can quickly calm him down.
The children go on lovely trips to parks, zoo, museums and cinema and much more!
They eat home made food and have their own cups, plates and etc.
She buys toys nearly every other day and will always be understanding of personal circumstances!
