About Me
I am a mother of four boys (aged 25 to 30) and am fortunate to live in the lovely village of Hampton in Arden in a fabulous Victorian house with a generous garden.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 23 years. I have received a grading of Outstanding for my last two Ofsted inspections when I provided Early Years care. Since I changed to look after primary school age children only, the inspections are no longer graded. I have looked after the children of some families for up to 13 years. Hopefully that means I am doing something right! My emphasis is on having fun whilst learning at the same time, embracing challenge and not being afraid to try something new.
My Qualifications
I have a BSc Hons in Mathematics, Early Years Professional Status, NVQ 3 in Childcare as well as being a qualified Assessor and Mentor for various childcare programmes. I also hold all the usual qualifications such as Safeguarding, First Aid, Health and Safety, Food Safety and plenty more. I recently completed an MSc in Human Resources Management with Distinction.
My Availability
As the children I look after have all grown up with me, I am now only registered to look after and have vacancies for six to twelve year olds. I no longer offer before and after school childminding as demand dropped post Covid and was no longer financially viable. I have therefore secured a different regular job but this job allows me to offer childminding in the holiday periods (subject to sufficient uptake) when we go on lots of outings and have huge amounts of fun. I also offer overnight care both for regular bookings and one off situations. However, I am also available for babysitting for children of any age in their own home.

We asked Deborah to help for our wedding. We were having a welcome dinner and then the wedding the next day. Deborah was on hand for both evenings to look after our nieces and nephews when they were going to bed so the parents could keep partying. She was absolutely brilliant and liaised with the parents before the event to make sure they were happy. Everyone had such a great time and there was zero stress which we are so grateful for. Couldn't recommend Deborah more.

Thank you so much Mary. I was delighted to look after your charming nephews and niece and honoured to help towards ensuring you had the most wonderful celebration with friends and family. Many congratulations once again on becoming "Mr and Mrs"!
We were arranging a special family celebration. We were far from home with a young baby and needed a babysitter in an area we didn't know. Deborah made the whole experience much else stressful and reassured us we were leaving our little one in safe and caring hands. She replied to messages promptly and suggested a WhatsApp Video call the week before. This made my husband and I feel more comfortable in the lead up to the evening. This is something she offers to clients as standard and is a great idea. Deborah was more than happy to arrive a couple of hours before we went out to give all of us time to get to know her and for the baby to spend time with her. This meant when we went out we felt much more comfortable. Deborah allowed us to feel reassured and enjoy the family celebration.

It was a privilege and a pleasure to look after your gorgeous daughter while you enjoyed a special celebration with your family.
Deborah looked after my 2 children (3 & 4) at a hotel for an evening (7pm-12am).
I found Deborah to be very professional, we had a video chat the week before the event so myself and my kids could meet her. On the call my kids showed her some art they had made with stickers and Deborah said she would bring some stickers with her. True to her word she brought the stickers with her which gave her instant rapport with the kids. I hung around for 5 minutes to make sure everyone was settled but my presence wasn't needed. At midnight Deborah gave me a debrief. The next day my children were sad that she wasn't there! I think that really shows that the children bonded with her over that short time. Without I doubt I'd recommend her.

Fantastic childminder. Very creative and friendly. Highly recommended. She took care of children ages 7-13 during a healthcare-related event.
