Firstly if you are able to get a space at Little Humbugs, count your lucky stars!
My daughter started with Kim back in 2021 and because she was thriving and doing so well I decided to keep her there until now where she has started Reception. Despite being told that kids her age should be in nursery because they won’t be ready for school otherwise, I listened to my instincts and we stayed with Little Humbugs. The best decision for us by a long shot! Throughout the years, my child has grown and developed in a surrounding that is literally a home away from home. I know that if she was ever upset, that she would receive the love and compassion she needed to navigate her big emotions. I never had to worry if she was having a bad day because I know that Kim and Charly love all the children and treat them with such respect and empathy. The kids do so many stimulating activities and my daughter was coming home every day with something new that she had learnt/ done that day. A perfect balance. The kids have down time as well as lots of learning through play, arts and crafts.they play outside and form such beautiful friendships. Little Humbugs covered all the EYFS framework which meant that now the time has come for my daughter to embark on her schooling journey, she is ready. And to top it off, at the end, we received a beautiful folder with all her artwork and highlights of her journey at Little Humbugs. It’s safe to say that we are so incredibly sad to end this chapter, however, I assure you that if you are fortunate enough to get a space at Little Humbugs, you will not regret it. Kimmy and Charly have made such a beautiful impact in my daughters life and I am forever grateful to them for helping create these foundations during the early years. If you are looking for a home away from home with people who will love your LO and treat them with such love and respect, don’t hesitate. I can’t recommend Little Humbugs enough. ❤️

Little Humbugs have been our childminder for the most wonderful 6 years for both my two boys who are now 4 and 7.
We were lucky enough to be recommended Little Humbugs from a mutual friend when my first son was born and from the moment I met Kimmy i just knew this was the place for us. Both my boys started going from about 11 months old and we have honestly never looked back. Especially those first couple of days when it's tough for us moms and dads letting going - i just knew my boys were being well cared for, Kim and Charly sent pictures of their first day so i could see what there up to which was so lovely. You only take that for granted when they move onto big school and realise that's not the norm!
Kim,Charly and Steve are honestly the most warm and nuturing people, they love and care for each child as there own. My boys have thoroughly enjoyed there time at Little Humbugs. There days were always filled with fun activites - crafts, painting, exploring outside etc. Both my boys learned to count, recognise number, colours and shapes with Kimmy and Charly and the boys have transitioned so well into school from the learning and structure that they have provided.
If you are looking for a childminder i honestly couldn't recommend Little Humbugs enough. You three will always have a special place in our heart. We miss coming every morning very much! ❤

My daughter attended Little Humbugs from 18 months old to starting primary school this year. From the first time we met her, Kimmy has been amazingly kind, caring and supportive. My daughter loved the time she spent there doing lots of fun activities and celebrating occasions throughout the year. There is a home from home feeling that the children are genuinely cared about like you would your own family. Kimmy and Charly always communicate well and learn everything about your child to pick up on the slightest change or development.
I would highly recommend Little Humbugs to anyone.

Kim, Charly and the whole Little Humbugs team are amazing! They offer a homely but professional environment for children to thrive. They really get to know the individual children. My daughter LOVES going and will miss everyone so much in September. Little Humbugs has develop her social skills, confidence and lots of other skills. They offer a wide range of activities, that link to world events, encouraging learning in a creative and engaging way. They are always there to help and support your child in any way possible.

From the moment we met Kim and Charly at Little Humbugs we loved them. Immediately we felt a great deal of trust and warmth with our children. Little Humbugs have a very strong family feel approach. It really does feel like every child there is part of the family and is treated as such. My son (4) has always come home having learnt so much but more than anything having had the funnest and happiest day. My daughter (1) beams every time we arrive in the morning. We get regular pictures and updates on their activities and you can see how much they love it. Kim, Charly and Steve are outstanding at keeping us informed on everything, supporting us with anything we aren’t sure about or struggling with and just providing all round outstanding service. Me and my husband have always recommended Little Humbugs to any family and friends with children. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough and we will always be grateful to them for being such a big part of our children’s early life. Highly recommend!

My little girl had her last day at Little Humbugs yesterday as she starts school in September (I’m still crying about it)!
I cannot thank Kimmy, Charly and Steve enough for all of the love and care they have given my daughter the last two years.
It was so important to me that my daughter was looked after by someone who would love her as much as we do and we got lucky with Little Humbugs as she received 3 times that love and care from Kimmy, Charly and Steve.
If you are looking for a childminder I highly recommend Little Humbugs, you will not regret sending your child to this lovely family.
My daughter came home with a lovely folder yesterday with all of her photos, arts and crafts, certificates and achievements in and we are so grateful to be able to keep these forever. You can see from all of the photographs how happy each and every child is at Little Humbugs and my daughter would always come home with stories about what her and friends have been doing throughout the day. Poor Kimmy couldn’t even sneeze without my daughter telling me so!
Thank you for everything Kimmy, Charly and Steve. Although we are so sad our time is over with you, we count our lucky stars to have found you all xxx

I cannot praise Little Humbugs enough! I’m just sad that I had not been referred to them when my first child was in nursery as she would have looked after all 3 of my boys over time.
There are so many things to say but I know that a lot is covered in the other reviews I’ve seen here so I’ll be more specific.
Kim and Charly have a brilliant approach to childcare that is warm and loving as though it’s a family home (which it is!) and also structured with routine, rules and education that creates this magical balance that the children adore.
My youngest child is with them right now (age 2) and, despite a slight speech delay, he is confident with numbers to 10, singing the alphabet, recognises all the nursery rhymes and so much more. It wouldn’t matter if he couldn’t yet but it’s just an example of what has made me smile recently.
There are clear boundaries between family time and Little Humbugs time that they stick to so well and I understand now why this is so important for the children to understand the difference and feel secure and grounded wherever they are.
I’ve ended up typing an essay! Oh well. If you get a chance to grab a spot at Little Humbugs then go for it! Spaces fill up fast for a good reason - usually word of mouth referrals!

My LO has been going to Little Humbugs for over 6/7 months now and I can honestly say that it has been one of the best decisions sending her there. She always comes home with a smile on her face. The kids at Little Humbugs are always doing fun and educational activities. Kim, Charly and Steve have the perfect balance going on. Food is prepared fresh daily and the kids are encouraged to participate in all sorts of activities whether it be playing, reading books, painting and colouring or even just having down time days. Sending my LO there I know that she’s getting the right amount of attention as well being encouraged to develop her own independence ready for when she eventually goes to school. If anyone asked I would 100% recommend sending their kids to Little Humbugs. It is definitely the perfect setting where the kids are educationally stimulated, treated as individuals as well as loved and very well looked after.

My little girl has been going to Kim and Charly at Little Humbugs for almost 4 months now. She absolutely loves going to see her friends and talks about them all every day and every weekend she asks ‘I go Kim’s house’ and the disappointment in her face when I say not today tells me she absolutely loves spending time with Kim and Charly!
The most important thing for me when looking for childcare for my daughter was finding someone who would love and look after her whilst I’m at work and as soon as I met Kim I knew my little girl would be both loved and looked after every single day. All the fun activities and arts and crafts are an added bonus!
I’m so grateful to have found Kim and Charly - both two genuinely lovely ladies who I would recommend to anybody looking for childcare for their children. They aren’t just childminders, their super stars! Thank you Kim and Charly xx

6 months ago my son started with Little Humbugs, It’s always daunting departing from your child but Kim and Charley made this experience so easy and I haven’t looked back. I have seen so much progression made in all aspects of developmental stages since him being with Kim and Charley. It’s not like sending him to a child minders but like leaving him with family. Such amazing people in an amazing career both doing amazing jobs (not forgetting Steve)
You deserve the best credit given.

We sent our little boy to Kim and Charley very young and they have just been amazing. We chose them through recommendation and they impressed us the minute we met them. Not only are they always informative and caring. They provide such a wonderful space for the children that is fun, educational and welcoming. Our son has developed so well since going and is wowing us more and more with what he learns from going each day. Could not recommend more!!

Kim and Charlie are so caring, loving and amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. They Care and look after the children like they are their own. Loads to do every day, from arts and crafts to baking, singing and dancing. A real home from home setting.

Kim, Charly and Steve make the children feel so welcome. It’s a true home from home environment and a wouldn’t want to leave my child with anyone else. Kim is always so happy and smily and she really helped my daughter settle in quickly. My daughter loves all the activities she does there and I love seeing the pictures, art and tasting the baking! Kim has lots of little touches like certificates for children saying their own name or learning to walk and she shows a genuine interest in the children. I would certainly recommend little humbugs, 5 stars all round!

As an educational professional i was so wary of who i was going to leave Lucy with.i asked friends for recommendations and researched. I need not have worried. As soon as i met Kim i knew Lucy would be fine. I’d have left her there straight away. A real home from home and so much fun too. Kim and Charly remain in our hearts. Lucy speaks so fondly of her time with them and shes at secondary school now x

Both of my children have been going to Little Humbugs now for a while and I couldn’t of asked for better childminders! Both my 7year old daughter and my 1 year old have both had a brilliant time playing and learning during there time there. It was always a worry of mine that I wanted both children in the same place whilst ensuring my daughter was picked up from school too, but Kim made things very easy and I was always more relaxed knowing they was together at the end of the day!
Charly and Steve were also fantastic. My daughter always loved walking home with Charly from school and my son very much enjoyed Steve’s company.
Fantastic childcare. I would definitely recommend!

My daughters have been looked after by Little Humbugs since they were 2 years and 9 months old. They are now 6 and 4 years old.
Kim, Steve and Charly have been a huge part of both my girls early years. I can honestly say they have become like extended family, not just to the girls but for us all.
Little Humbugs is a caring and engaging childminders. The children often get involved in all sorts of different activities, such as Travelling Ted, “doing the wall”, craft, stories and dress up days. As well as lots of play, of course. I have always felt confident and safe in the knowledge that my children were cared for just as I would care for them, which I why I chose a Childminder over a Nursery.
The girls have also made some lifelong friends through the Little Humbugs family and so have I!
Any parents who are looking for a childminder should absolutely consider Little Humbugs. They really do a wonderful job and my children love going to ‘Kimmies’.

Since my son left to go to school, Kim & Charly have continued to look after my 4 year old daughter who enjoys every minute of going to Kimmie's! It is such a welcoming environment with a lovely family feel. She has made some great friends and enjoys playing with all the toys they have there. She loves crafting and bringing her creations home or having them displayed in the play room. Kim & Charly are wonderful childminders not only for the children but for the parents who leave their children in their care. Both my children will continue to attend Little Humbugs in the school holidays as we couldn't bear to say good bye............ x

Kim and Charly have looked after my two daughters, who are now 23 months and 4 for over a year. There is a real family feel about Little Humbugs. They both settled in extremely well and have made some lovely friends. I am always confident and happy in the knowledge that they are looked after just as I would look after them. I enjoy hearing about the exciting activities they get up to and updates in their development. I would absolutely recommend Little Humbugs.

I cannot praise Kim and Charly enough for the care they provide for my daughter. My daughter has been going to Kimmies since she was 10 months old and just loves going there everyday. Kim and Charly treat her as one of their own. It makes me happy to know that when I drop her off every morning she is loved and cared for. My daughter has turned into such a great little lady and that is all thanks to Kim and Charly.
I recommend Kim and Charly to anyone looking for a childcare that is genuine, caring, kind, loving and is great with children.

Can not recommend Kim and Charly highly enough, since the very first time meeting with them both I could see how passionate they are about the children they look after and understood why they were so highly recommended to me. From Olivias very first day at little humbugs she had made lovely friends and really enjoys her time there everyday. After feeling so anxious for months coming up to the end of my maternity leave I can honestly say I feel 100% happy and comfortable leaving Olivia there knowing they always have her, along with the other children's best interests in mind at all times. I couldn't say a bad word about them at all.

I cannot praise Kim and Charly enough for the care they provide for my two children. My oldest child went to Kim for two years before going to a school nursery and he still talks about how much he loves Kim and Charly and the time he spent there. My youngest now attends Litle Humbugs and I know every morning when I drop him off he will be happy, loved and cared for. He enjoy the activities and learning oppportunities provided for him and has some lovely friends. I never have any worries dropping him off and find Kim to always be incredibly flexible and professional. I recommend Kim to anyone looking for childcare as I know how much she genuinely cares for each of the children and enjoys looking after them.

Kim and Charly have looked after my 2 children who are 4 & 2 for over a year now and I couldn't be happier. Perfect homely environment, they treat the kids like they are their own. Very flexible, was able to look after my children for extra days after my mom fell ill with 2 days notice. My 4yr old has come out of his shell massively since starting with Kim as he is so comfortable there. Couldn't think of a better childcare provider.

I cannot fault my childcare choice Kim and Charly. The warm welcoming family environment was exactly what I wanted for my son Jacob. Jacob has now been with Kim and Charly for 3 years and has flourished and made lots of lovely friends. When Jacob goes to school this September we will still go to Kimmies ( as the kids kindly refer to her) for holiday cover. I can't fault Kim's flexibility, over start and finish times, especially as on occasion I am late due to work pressures which has never been a problem. I feel I can go to work knowing that Jacob is being looked after with the upmost care, professionalism and love. I would highly recommend for any parent wanting a happy family childminding experience :)

after months of searching for a childminder for Miley we finally made the move and went for little humbugs, Kim came round to our house, she met Miley there, straight away we could see the bond and how Kim would look after and care for Miley and the rest was history, Miley went to little humbugs for just over a year when she was 2/3, she is now 5 and still talks about Kim and Charley, and the chickens all the time. she loved it there. and now our niece goes there and again she loves it. if your looking for a friendly loving place to send your child little humbugs is just a must. well done to all involved and all the hard work put it. thank you.

Kim and Charly are a great mother and daughter childminding team. My daughter and now my son are both being looked after there. My daughter for her preschool years and James since he was a new born. My daughter now goes back in her school holidays and it's home from home for her, catching up with old friends! Both children are extremely happy and content there, which means as parents we can go off to work with complete peace of mind - priceless. It's a caring, happy, fun and safe environment for the children who play and learn through play. I highly recommend :)

My son attended little humbugs for 3 years and made some lovely friends there.
After returning to work after my 2nd child communications became very sour between myself and Kim the lead childminder. I found her confrontational and defensive in anything I had to say and this took place in front of my eldest son which I was not happy about. I also found her inflexible as she wanted to start charging me for been 5 minutes early and that was the last straw for me as I was accused of not respecting my contracted hours even though I would pick up my children 45minutes early most days.
On the whole my son enjoyed his time at little humbugs but I would often go to work upset and would feel anxious at pick up times.
Charly her assisted is lovely and offers a great baby sitting service. On the whole it is a shame that communications turned so sour but I refuse to be spoken to like a child by someone I was paying half my wages too.
Therefore I would not personally recommend this child minder
