My Experience

I have over eighteen years’ experience working as a nanny. I have been lucky enough to have worked with four lovely families throughout my career, caring for children of all age groups from new-borns to teenagers.

I worked extensively with a family for nine years, from 2003 at the birth of their daughter. As the mother was disabled, I worked very closely with the family helping with the day-to-day needs of the baby and parents.

After my first family moved to New York I began working with a new family – a doctor with her husband and two children, a boy aged eight and a girl of four. I was with this family for a year in the lead up to them emigrating to Hong Kong where I provided sole charge, hands-on care to their children.

I then had the pleasure of starting with a busy, professional family, caring for their three daughters, aged eight months, five and six over the course of five years until 2015. I was charged with sole care of the children and managed the various needs of the girl’s diverse stages of development.

In my current role, which I started in 2015. I have been working for a wonderful family and caring for their two children, a girl now eight years old and a boy of six. I work part-time with the family for three full days a week.

My experience has all stemmed from running my own home and bringing up my two, now grown up sons, who I am incredibly proud of. I enjoy every aspect of my job and through my experience I have been fortunate enough to be able to work with children of various ages and abilities. I understand that every child’s needs are different, and I have a patient and reliable demeanour, with an affectionate and encouraging approach.

I enjoy cooking and I believe in healthy, nutritious foods. I love arts and crafts and really enjoy arranging day trips and activities to keep children active and entertained. I am well versed in assisting with learning and educational needs from pre-school and nursery through to primary school.

I have a full DBS check and have just done my paediatric first aid in 2020

My Qualifications

I have paediatric first aid qualifications, and as a mother of two grown up boys and life as a home maker, and working with five lovely families over 18 years I feel I have all the qualifications needed as a nanny with life experience.

My Availability

Any Three days a week apart from Friday

My Fees

• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (net)
