About Me
We are Ofsted registered 'outstanding' childminders. Our names are Kim & Jennie. We are qualified child care professionals and have been working with children aged birth to 15 for 30 years! Before we began our childminding adventure we had been working together as teaching assistants primarily with Early Years and KS1. We ran the before and after school child care within the school and it was for the growing need for this we decided to begin our adventure at Quarry Lane We are very proud to say it has grown to be a wonderful place that many children enjoy!
We are located in Quarry Lane Chichester close to the train station and local bus routes. Our wonderful cabin is set in beautiful grounds, with spectacular views over lakes and provides the perfect setting for your child
We provide a balance of 'home from home' care for children aged between 4 & 11 years, following routines that they have become accustomed to at home, whilst also creating an environment that is fun, stimulating and personal; where children are able to explore, be creative and ultimately enjoy!
We believe that children learn and develop best through play. We always set out to create an environment which will encapsulate the imagination of each child.
We understand the importance of children following their own interests. We know that each child in our care will take a very different journey in their development. We will always support and enable them to do just this.
We recognise the importance of personal, social and emotional development. This is at the heart of everything that we do. Children will always feel valued, safe and secure in our care.
We understand that each child is truly unique. We want to nurture this uniqueness and create experiences which we hope will provide them with the best possible opportunities.
My Experience
We have worked in childcare for over 30 years, we have been professional nannies, Childminders, a kindergarten teacher, deputy creche supervisor and as Classroom assistants where we also ran the before and after school care.
My Qualifications
We both hold an NNEB qualification. Kim also has an NVQ 3 in Childcare and Education. We both hold a paediatric first aid certificate, along with Safeguarding, manual handling and other statutory qualifications.
My Availability
We are available from 7.30am until school drop off then from school pick up to 6.30pm.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.75 per hour
Our standard hourly rate or part thereof is - £8.75 This price includes a healthy breakfast for those arriving by 7.45am, an afternoon snack on arrival and a high tea at 5pm. We do charge late pick up fees of £5.00 for each 15 minutes or part thereof.
We provide care between the hours of 7.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday. If families require hours outside of these times, please talk to us. We will always aim to be as flexible as possible. We also provide full day care on school inset/closure days.
We understand that families have individual needs, so please talk to us about your requirements. We will always endeavor to provide care that is 'tailored' to suit each family's circumstances.
