About Me
Hi, my name's Sylvia Barbour and I am a fully registered childminder with Ofsted (awarded good on my last inspection) who has been working in the Boldon area for the past 10yrs. At present I have vacancies for babies and toddlers, but I never reject any enquiry if you wish to contact me. I thoroughly enjoy my job and love working with children, so why don't you let your child join me, my son and the children I care for doing fun activities while you are at work, college etc.
My Experience
I have spent the last ten years caring for children in the early years group. We attend local play groups and go on outings to parks, beaches and museums. I also care for older children before and after school that attend Hedworth Lane Primary and Reginald Street Nursery. I have experience working with children from different age groups and abilities. I currently offer the Government free childcare places for 2 year olds, 3 year olds and 4 year olds.
My Qualifications
I have numerous qualifications such as Paediatric First Aid, Food safety in catering, Safeguarding Children, NVQ level 3 in Children's care, learning and Development, CACHE 3 in Childminding Practice and a High/scope qualification in children's learning. I also have been awarded certificates for training I have attended such as Fire safety, Listening to children, Enabling Environments, Birth to Three Matters, Play for under 2's, Inclusive and Diversity work shops, Multicultural work shops, Working with Parent's and Customer Services.
My Availability
I am very flexible and my home is open from 7am to 6:30pm, Monday's to Friday's for 48 weeks of the year. I offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks when required.
