About Me

Available on MONDAYS all day from September 5th.

My name is Hayley and I have been a professional nanny for the past 15 years years.

I have a wealth of experience with children aged NB to 6 years, including the care of twins, toddlers, school aged children and baby siblings.

I love to bring an artistic flare to children's learning and development, a lot of the activities I engage children in involve music and art, whether inside or out and about.

I am a very productive nanny and I will get your child/children out and about to various activities suitable to their age and developmental level, as well as playdates, outings to parks, museums and other places of interest. In home activities such as baking, craft works, educational play and just some good old fun are also in my weekly agenda's.

I am happy to help out around the house, emptying the bins and dishwasher when needed and of course will always keep the areas used by myself and the child/children both clean and tidy. As a nanny I will also carry out all nursery duties to include all the children's washing and ironing and I also like to cook healthy nutritious meals for the children from scratch and I am happy to cook enough for the parents once or twice a week.

I am also happy to do a nannyshare a great way for your little ones to build friendships.

I can also play piano and if you have one would be happy to play for or teach the little ones.
MONDAY POSITIONS ONLY PLEASE

My Experience

August 2017 to Present
Care of two little boys aged 5 and 3 at present, full time sole charge nanny in charge of all aspects of the children's daytime.
I have weaned and potty trained the eldest and am now developmentally focusing on his EYFS curriculum from pre school. I am starting to potty train the youngest as well as teaching him colours shapes and numbers through play.
We get out and about every day in all weather, we love fresh air and walks in the park, as well as trips to museums and soft play.

March 2013 – Jan 2016

Full time Monday to Friday, 7.45am-6.15pm; nanny to G 10 months at start of employment (now 3 years), Emma was in an established Gina Ford routine at 10 months old , she was also fully weaned and beginning to enjoy wholesome family meals , her parents and I worked together to establish a weekly schedule of activities including music class, Gymboree, swimming and one to one sessions which they felt was the benefit of a nanny. In April 2014, Baby William was born and with Mummy on maternity leave I spend the summer integrating the two children together, William would come to our classes or on outings from the age of two weeks! This proved helpful to Emma and smoothed the transition from being an only child. During the Summer of 2014 I also potty trained Emma using the Gina Ford method and therefore only taking seven days in total. Emma started pre-school in September 2014 and so the dynamic of my position changed, I have now fully weaned William and helped his parents settle him into a Gina Ford sleeping routine, incorporating a daytime nap. We have come full circle as William now has a full schedule of play dates, classes and swimming whilst Emma is at nursery and I enjoy spending time each day reinforcing Emma’s knowledge of letters, numbers and comprehension. In school holidays, the three of us enjoy day trips to the Zoo, Chessington and often to the seaside. Both Bertelsen children have suffered with reflux, with Emma on medication until over a year and William’s being controlled with specific dietary requirements, both children do still need monitoring on food intake therefore this is an ongoing condition.

November 2011 to March 2013

Full time Monday to Friday, 7.30am- 7pm, sole charge care of one boy of 19 months at the start of employment. I took care of all nursery duties including cooking a range of healthy, balanced meals for him. I arranged age appropriate classes and playgroups such as Caterpillar Music and Swimming lessons. Also from April 2012 I aided in settling him into a local nursery and monitoring his development as well as liaising with both of his teachers. (R) Suffers with asthma and requires daily medication, including use of inhaler, granules and nebuliser during acute episodes often occurring in the winter months. R enjoys days out with me to places such as Chessington World of Adventures, London Aquarium, The Transport Museum and Greenwich Observatory, teamed with play dates with local children in Kensington and Chelsea and south of the river in Clapham, Wandsworth and Wimbledon. I travelled with the family to Switzerland at Christmas for a skiing holiday which was beautiful and then on a Summer holiday to Italy to their beach house. Baby (C) arrived in June 2012 and this was a huge adjustment period for the whole family- I worked closely with the maternity nurse to gain new-born experience and to support the family through the first few weeks.

May 2011 to November 2011

Full time Monday to Friday, 7am-7pm, sole charge role caring for two boys aged 16 months and 3 years at the start of employment. I was required to take care of all nursery duties including but not limited to washing, ironing, keeping bedrooms tidy, restoring old toys, potty training, buying new clothes for different seasons and cooking healthy appealing meals for both boys. The younger child suffered badly with eczema and required daily creams and baths, this was managed well by both parents and I. Although a short position I spend the Summer holidays with this family, taking the boys on exciting days out to the museums, the Southbank Centre and up to Hampstead Heath. I travelled to Turkey with this family for a villa holiday which was very enjoyable and then to Gloucestershire for a wedding where I provided the childcare for the country fare reception.

October 2009 to May 2011

Full time Monday to Friday nanny for three children, B 4, G2 and B5 months at start of employment. Sole charge between 9am-5pm Monday to Wednesday with a mixture of both sole and shared charge on a Thursday and Friday. All nursery duties were required including laundry, ironing, maintaining tidy bedrooms and school runs. All three children in this family had an intolerance to both cow’s milk and wheat products, therefore meal planning required some imagination. The baby was also on goats milk formula and suffered from silent reflux. Weaning the baby also had to be done incredibly carefully but it was interesting to discover new alternatives such as corn pasta and goats cheese babybels! I potty trained the 2 year old within 2 weeks using the Gina Ford method and found it incredibly effective, being a girl she took to it brilliantly. Both older children went to nursery and I worked out a weekly schedule for the baby of play groups and classes. This was a very busy and diverse position with three children at different stages of development from weaning, speech development and pre-school
