About Me
We live in the most beautiful 'chocolate box cottage' on a private gated road between Ripon and Kirby Hill. We have a fully secured property with extensive grounds to enable the children to have a wonderful safe outdoor existence. We are boardering a field used for lambing and therefore have the wonderful baby lambs at our doorstep for the children to be able to watch and feed.
We have a choice of 3 large lawned areas for the children to play on dependent on age, and a large patio for push along cars and trikes. We have an extensive vegetable garden, in which each child will help plant, water and cultivate and then pick what they have grown. This will also include potato growing and raspberries.
The inside of the property has been renovated to 'new'. We are able to offer a designated playroom, beautifully laid out to enable the children to choose exactly what they would like to play with. This room also offers a sofa so that we are able to have quiet time to read books etc.
We have beautiful bedrooms in which i have sufficient cots, to let your children sleep in beautiful surroundings.
I have a 7 seater car, fully kitted with car seats for all ages (babies under 1 i tend to use the car seat they are used to).
We follow certain broad themes, such as the seasons, any cultural holidays, and love to bake, stick, paint, colour, dig, splash, get dirty, roll down hills, everything any child should possibly do before they are my age!
About me now:
I am 48yr old married, mother of 2 wonderful gorgeous children, Minnie aged 23 (about to head off to Australia having gained her degree in Graphic Design) and Tai aged 20, living in Antibes (South of France) working on the superyachts having gained all his yachting qualifications. I have worked in childcare for 20 years, having not been able to find suitable childcare for my own.
The children that are taken into my care are not just 'looked after', they become part of our family. I am currently on generation 3 of one family!
My Experience
I have worked in childcare on and off since i left school. I worked as an Au Pair in the USA for a year, and then did some montessori and creche work in london. I have worked in a nursery environment for a number of years as Room Leader and also introduced home cooked meals into the environment, gone were the chicken nuggets and this was before Jamie!!
I have been a childminder for the last 10+years and have received again OUTSTANDING IN EVERY SINGLE AREA JUNE 2015!! - i am thrilled by this result as i do work diligently to provide a loving environment for my clients.
Also received OUTSTANDING 2009/10.
My latest grading received GOOD in all areas.
