Thanks for looking at my profile - Tanya's Shining Stars.
I am a fully qualified Childminder with extensive knowledge working with young children.
My last Ofsted inspection was in January 2022 and I received a Good grading in all areas.

I strive to provide a family friendly homely environment which is located in a central part of the Camberwell community with very good transport links. There is a library and Stay and Play sessions within a short walking distance and 3 local parks one of which is opposite my property, I will offer regular outings to these to encourage physical development. We sometimes visit the animals at Battersea Dogs Home and also take a trip to our local Fire Station to view the fire engines. The firemen kindly allow the children to sit inside the fire engines, which they really enjoy. We have regular visits to the City Farm and Surrey Quays Farm and Museum. I provide educational resources, fun and stimulating activities.
I offer an exceptional environment which will ensure every child is able to reach their full potential.
Outdoors will be valued as highly as indoors and will provide opportunities for children to explore and learn about the world around them. There will be a structured, yet flexible routine throughout the day.
My Experience
I have experience working as a Nursery Practitioner for 2 years, so I understand how important it is to provide a service that supports and benefits children's health, wellbeing and learning development.
I have been a childminder for 9 years.

My Fees
- Childminding from £10.00 per hour
My fees are negotiable.
Fees for part time children are hourly.
Fees for full time are priced at an daily rate.
Fees are expected at the beginning of each week.
A deposit will be required and will be returned when contract ends.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks are provided for full time children.
Breakfast, lunch and snacks for part time.
These are included in my fee.

Tanya has built a very positive and caring relationship with our baby daughter, who she has been looking after since August 2023. She was supportive, calm and patient during first few weeks of settling-in as baby overcame her separation anxiety and got used to daycare. Our daughter now loves her days with Tanya. She is provided with a range of interesting activities and outings in the community as well as educational and creative activities at home. Tanya provides a range of nutritious meals and snacks and the environment feels like a home from home. Tanya keeps us updated and communicates any changes to her availability in good time. We are delighted to have found Tanya who is a safe and kind person who seems to genuinely care about our little one.

My son has been attending Tanya's Shining Starts for about a year and a half.
I have nothing but great things to say about the quality of care my child receives from his childminder Tanya.
Tanya's engages remarkably well with the children I've seen her with, and is always presenting new ways for them to learn and develop.
My son has made tremendous academic progress with Tanya, especially with his speech & understanding.
Tanya takes the children on regular trips and days out, so my son is always gaining new experiences and seeing different places.
Tanya feeds my son healthy food, and always provides me with daily feedback on my son's behaviour.
I'd describe Tanya as trustworthy, responsible, reliable and very patient.
I hold Tanya in high regards and consider her more like family than a childminder.
My son is always very excited to attend Tanya's Shining Stars.

Tanya is a fantastic childminder with lots of creative ideas. The moment I dropped off my 2 sons they never even look back to say goodbye because they were always happy to be at her setting. She has provided a safe, homely and loving environment and has also been a key part in their development. Tanya always takes the children to different places such as library, park and different play groups which we get to see with regular pictures. Tanya is natural with children she treat them like her own and I couldn't recommend her enough to anyone looking for childcare.
One more thing I love about her is that she always cook everyday for the children and her house is so clean.
She is the best of the best 👌🏽.

Tanya was amazing with my twins and my boys were always super excited to be dropped off. They learnt a lot during their time with Tanya. Tanya was superb! A great Childminder to have which gave me peace of mind. Thank you sooo much. Latoya

Tanya is a really kind woman and provides a top care for my kids. My boy love spending time at her settings, she is so caring. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you so much Tanya for your time, efforts, love and kindness towards my boys. You have made a big impact in their learning journey.

I feel lucky to have found Tanya. Her place is my boys second home 🏡. My 2 boys have benefitted enormously in terms of their development and they always want to be dropped off at Tanya's which is reassuring because it means that they are happy there.
Very clean, she cooks and very communicating.
She is the best.
