First class in all aspects, highest recommendation

We placed our one year old daughter with Sophie for child-minding at the beginning of September 2024 and were highly impressed by all aspects of her care. The children she took care of were always well-behaved, happy and comfortable. The range of activities she took our daughter to and environment she provided helped our only child become far more outgoing and comfortable in groups. She would happily chirp away when being driven home and seemed legitimately sad to be leaving every day. The menus of food provided were varied, nutritious and had a lot of thought and care put into them like everything else.

We had a fair amount of apprehension when it came to using a childminder as there is always the fear of how well your child will be taken care of. Given how well-settled our daughter was here for the months that Sophie took care of her, it was with substantial regret that we had to cease using her services as work demands necessitated a move outside of Berkshire. Absent that we would have never left. Highest recommendation.

Wonderful and trustworthy

Our little son went to Sophie from 5 months onwards until he was 10 months old. He had to leave because we moved away but I am sure he would have liked to stay. He seemed very content to go to Sophie. And we as parents were so as well. Everything was reliable and Sophie was easygoing, quick to respond to messages, and happy to take our wishes into account. She was friendly and there was a good atmosphere at her house. We definitely recommend her a lot!

An absolute Godsend!

I returned to work shortly after my son turned one. He had always been really attached to me, and generally did not respond well to being left with anyone but me, so I was particularly anxious about finding the right person to take care of him when I returned to work. When I met Sophie, her warmth and gentleness as a person reassured me that he would be in good hands. The transition back to work was a difficult one, but it was made infinitely easier knowing that my son was in good hands and being well taken care of. He has now been with Sophie for just over a year and he has flourished in her care. His vocabulary has exploded, his manners are impeccable, and his confidence and social skills have grown enormously. She has encouraged his independence in a very gentle manner, and he has learned to put himself to sleep, to feed himself, and to express his needs clearly. The stimulation he receives in her care is more than I could have provided for him at home, and they are always busy with new and fun activities. When I drop him off in the morning he confidently waves goodbye to me and when I collect him in the afternoons he often wants to stay and continue playing.

Sophie has a gift for working with children, and her calm and patient personality creates an environment in which my child has grown in leaps and bounds. I cannot recommend her more highly.

Excellent Childminder :)

Sophie has been childminding my daughter 5 year old for the past year. She picks her up from St John school and look after her till 6pm every day , with some occasional babysitting.

I have been extremely happy with the care Ewa has received. Sophie is very friendly, warm and welcoming carer.

She provides a wide, fun range of activities including party times with other childminders, walks to nearby parks and reward chart with prizes to encourage good behaviour and responsibility. She also cooks fresh home made meals that my daughter really enjoys.

Communication with Sophie is great. She responds to my messages and calls immediately and always lets me know what the children did during the day, how they have eaten and what activities they had fun with.

I am very happy with the level of care my daughter receives. My daughter is growing into confident and cheerful little girl.

I would absolutely recommend Sophie as a great and reliable childminder.

A caring, professional, understanding Childminder

Sophie is childminding my 2 year old son Jon. She looks after him for 3 days each week.
Sophie's home is always welcoming, clean and well organised, and Jon has great fun playing with all the toys available, with her daughter and with the other children in her care.
She provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise. Sand and water play, drawing and sticking, reading and puzzles as well as outings to the park, trips to feed the ducks, going to the library and even fruit picking.
Jon really loves going to Sophie.
Sophie provides breakfast, and healthy snacks such as fruit and rice cakes.
She also completes a diary detailing what Jon has done each day. From this I have a complete picture of his whole day including what he has eaten, how long he has slept and all his activities. This helps me to feel involved with his care.
Jon is turning into a confident and self assured little boy in her care,
I would absolutely recommend Sophie as a great and reliable childminder.

Couldn't have wished for a better Childminder!

Sophie is truly a wonderful Childminder.
My daughter Lola loves going and gets so excited in the morning and doesn't want to leave to come home!
Lola settled very quickly and soon became best friends with Sophies daughter too.
Lola was quite fussy with food but now eats extremely well with Sophies home cooked meals.
Her speech has come on leaps and bounds as well, thanks to Sophie.
Sophie takes them swimming quite often and Lola was always quite wary at first but is now very confident in the water and looks forward to swimming days.
Lola is leaving to go to nursery in September and this is because of a house move, we even looked for houses so that we could still have Sophie, but this unfortunately didn't work out.
I know Lola will miss Sophie, as will we, even when we went on holiday Lola was asking when she's seeing Sophie!
A caring, professional, understanding Childminder who will be truly missed by our family. We couldn't have wished for better for our daughter.
