My Experience

I have an up-to-date enhanced DBS.

In the past I've worked with children between the age of 1 and 17.

I've worked as an Au pair in both Germany and Spain. I was responsible for looking after the children during the day i.e. taking them to nursery/school, swimming pool, playing with them ect.... But I also had to work with them on their German, English and Maths which did slowly improve during the time i was there.

In addition, I also spent the summer after finishing my A-levels in a summer camp. My colleagues and I had to take over the role as big sister/mother to approximately 300 children and had to guide them through the day. This meant making sure they showered, ate and had the best time of their lives whilst doing activities like rock climbing, 3d swing, fencing etc. In addition, we had to be on hand when they got homesick at night or were literally feeling sick. As it was a residential activity camp we had to be there for them 24/7.

Furthermore I did a lot of babysitting when I was younger. I would for example spend my half term with family friends looking after their children whilst the parents were at work.

Also, I travelled on a volunteer trip to Fiji where we spent a month being class room teacher assistants in an underdeveloped village. We introduced them to grass root sports as well as helping them in various subjects such as Maths and English. As we spent our stay with host families in the village, we got plenty of time to get to know the kids and have fun outside of the school setting as well.

In 2022, whilst in my final year of university, I worked for 1 term with FTM dance as a support worker to children up to 18 years. We offered a respite service to parents/children with additional needs where we did various activities with a group of children.

My Qualifications

I dont' have any child care qualifications as such. But as shown in the my experience section I've worked with children as an Au pair, Summer Camp Leader, volunteer classroom assistant and babysitter.

My Availability

I can do the evening and weekend baby-sitting and overnights.

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
