I can highly recommend Sandra, who joined us in May 2015 when my Son was 11 months old.
Sandra is extremely trustworthy; I never worry about the safety of my son when he is with her. She is always calm and patient with him. What sets Sandra apart is her depth of experience and proper childcare training. The fact she has worked with children for over 20 years is evident when she manages to transform my son from teary to happy in seconds. Sandra has a technique and trick for solving most baby/toddler challenges!
Sandra is very reliable - always punctual and has never taken a day off sick. Even when she is poorly she will come to work and will not let me down and I really appreciate that dedication. My job often requires me to work late at short notice and Sandra is always flexible. She is part of the family ‘team’ and takes my son to appointments such as the Doctors if I am not available – I know I can trust her to represent me in such a situation.
Within days of being in post, Sandra had got my son in a routine so he was sleeping in his cot during the day - something I had not been able to achieve. Sandra has given advice on how to progress the routine as he transitioned from a baby to a toddler.
Sandra has formed a really close relationship of trust with my son while also establishing clear boundaries - he knows that she is in charge.
Sandra has been excellent at helping my son learn and develop, understanding when he needs to be stretched. My son knew all his shapes and colours by 20 months and his speech is excellent for his age. That is down to the time Sandra invests in helping him learn in a fun way.
Sandra is very creative and does art sessions and messy play, which Artie loves. Every day, my son has an out of the house activity in the morning - involving music and dancing. Sandra has a network of friends who are nannies and they all socialise - so my son has a friendship group.
My son needed daily medication and a special diet until he was 15 months, and Sandra was brilliant at managing everything. Sandra is an excellent cook and introduced my son to different types of vegetables and flavours. As a result, my son literally eats anything and he is always happy to try something new. My son has asthma and she has been brilliant at using play to get him to use the inhaler and facemask.
