Hello families,
My name is Sandra and I am an English qualified career nanny with over 30yrs experience.
I trained for 2 yrs in childcare to gain my Namcw diploma qualifications in childcare. I then went on to work in a private day nursery as a nursery nurse looking after the toddler room for 4yrs.
I really wanted to go in to nannying but had to wait till I had experience and a drivers licence. And 4yrs after working in a nursery I had gained both.
I have been nannying for the last 26yrs and it is a job I love and hope to continue for many more years.
The thing I love about nannying is the one to one with the children, the social part of the job attending different music groups playgroups playdates and day trips being out and about rather than in a room setting like a nursery.
I am often told I always have a smile on my face, very patient relaxed laid back and organised. All the qualities I think make a great nanny.
I believe in being firm but fair and fun. I have my own Mary Poppins bag in my car that I take from job to job full of arts and craft materials to fill those wet and cold afternoons.
I am Ofsted registered with updated dbs and first aid so can accept tax free childcare.
I am a driver and like to have full use of a car during my working day to get us to all those different groups day trips and playdates we will be doing.

My Experience
I was a nursery nurse for 4yrs
I have been nannying for over 26yrs
I have worked with children from as young as 6wks old up to 8yrs old. I have had a couple of jobs working with twins, one twin family I worked with for 5yrs from when they were 5mths old, and now 15yrs later i still babysit for them.
I have worked in shares, one position I had 3 children under the age of 2yrs..a busy but fun time.
I am looking for a long term position, to be made part of the family. I am happy to work long hours, and I am very flexible when it comes to starting earlier or finishing later if ever those trains are cancelled!
I have also done night nannying , mothers help and over night babysitting, so if you ever feel like a child free weekend away I can help with childcare.
I am Ofsted registered with updated dbs and first aid. I am also signed up to the tax free childcare scheme.
I have excellent references.

My Qualifications
I am NAMCW qualified,i have an up to date DBS and FIRST AID certificate.i am also OFSTED registered.
I also have CITY AND GUILDS certificates in childcare.

NANNYING
Wednesday and/or Friday position only. I am very happy with my 3 day family.
looking for around 10hrs a day.
I am a flexible nanny so happy to stay later if trains running late etc and happy to come in earlier if needed.
Areas wanted: Beckenham,sydenham,forest hill,bromley ,crystal palace honor oak and lewisham west wickham dulwich and surrounding areas.
I am a non smoker and have a full drivers licence.
I expect to be paid for 52wks of the year inc holidays. And for my employers to pay my tax and insurance.no cash in hand offers accepted. nannytax and nannypaye are reccomended.

Sandra is a talented and reliable Nanny. She is very experienced and confident and I never doubt that my son is safe and happy in her capable hands.
Sandra is very organised and my son’s days are well structured but also varied by numerous morning activities. Sandra has very good knowledge of local playgroups and classes and has a great Nanny network.
Sandra is creative and my son enjoys doing arts and crafts with her.
Sandra is an excellent cook and is very clean and tidy.
I thoroughly recommend Sandra as a Nanny and do not know what we will do without her when we move away from London!

I can highly recommend Sandra, who joined us in May 2015 when my Son was 11 months old.
Sandra is extremely trustworthy; I never worry about the safety of my son when he is with her. She is always calm and patient with him. What sets Sandra apart is her depth of experience and proper childcare training. The fact she has worked with children for over 20 years is evident when she manages to transform my son from teary to happy in seconds. Sandra has a technique and trick for solving most baby/toddler challenges!
Sandra is very reliable - always punctual and has never taken a day off sick. Even when she is poorly she will come to work and will not let me down and I really appreciate that dedication. My job often requires me to work late at short notice and Sandra is always flexible. She is part of the family ‘team’ and takes my son to appointments such as the Doctors if I am not available – I know I can trust her to represent me in such a situation.
Within days of being in post, Sandra had got my son in a routine so he was sleeping in his cot during the day - something I had not been able to achieve. Sandra has given advice on how to progress the routine as he transitioned from a baby to a toddler.
Sandra has formed a really close relationship of trust with my son while also establishing clear boundaries - he knows that she is in charge.
Sandra has been excellent at helping my son learn and develop, understanding when he needs to be stretched. My son knew all his shapes and colours by 20 months and his speech is excellent for his age. That is down to the time Sandra invests in helping him learn in a fun way.
Sandra is very creative and does art sessions and messy play, which Artie loves. Every day, my son has an out of the house activity in the morning - involving music and dancing. Sandra has a network of friends who are nannies and they all socialise - so my son has a friendship group.
My son needed daily medication and a special diet until he was 15 months, and Sandra was brilliant at managing everything. Sandra is an excellent cook and introduced my son to different types of vegetables and flavours. As a result, my son literally eats anything and he is always happy to try something new. My son has asthma and she has been brilliant at using play to get him to use the inhaler and facemask.
I recommend Sandra with full confidence. She is an outstanding nanny and person. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to talk more about our experiences with her.
