September 2008 Allen Pullinger Playgroup

I started of doing voluntary work for a year to gain experience, and then went on to become paid staff. The job involved setting up and packing away, caring for the children, key working and doing observations on my key children, I also prepared fruit, milk and water. I did circle time and story time, which included singing rhymes and telling stories.


September 2011—2018 Pre School Assistant

My duties include, the primary care of children who attend the setting, to set up and set away activities before and after the session, plan activities linked to observations, communicating with parents and carers about the childs development and any concerns, to work as part of a team using the key worker system, to carry out regular observations and record and plan for the key child and write reports, to adhere to Equal opportunities/inclusion and safe guarding children, to assist with personal hygiene eg changing of nappies and assisting toilet runs and to also supervision of lunch time.

January 2018- Present Nanny

Responsible for the safety, wellbeing, care and development of young children. Getting children ready in the morning and then taking them to school. Reading to and with the children. Attending any medical appointments or social events with the children. Helping children with after-school activities like homework. Being disciplined with the children when required. Washing and bathing children as well as changing nappies. Providing healthy meals and snacks for the children. Providing supervision and constant care to children. Stimulating children to read and be active. Playing with the children and taking them shopping & to the park. Tidying up children's bedrooms and play areas. General housekeeping duties like cleaning, washing up and ironing. Planning and organising age related activities. Preparing bottles of milk for babies.

My Availability

Monday to Friday 30 + hours a week, will consider more hours and occasional weekends if needed, I am also available for occasional baby sitting .
