About Us
We are based in the village of Kingswood, which is near to Wotton under Edge, Hillesley and Charfield. We are a community preschool playgroup which has been established for over 50 years. Being located in Kingswood Village Hall we have the benefit of a beautiful play area which is safe and away from the main road and large playing field and wildspace.
Kingswood Village Playgroup is a member of the Gloucestershire Playgroup and Toddlers Association (PATA) and Preschool Learning Alliance ( PSLA) We are a non-profit making educational charity and are registered and inspected by OFSTED. We have regular visits from a PATA fieldworker and support from the LEA. (the Playgroup is eligible to accept vouchers/authority funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.)
Children aged 2 years to 5 years are welcome to join our friendly, parent-run playgroup, where the emphasis is on the children learning through play. Qualified and experienced professionals are employed to run all sessions and provide a caring and stimulating environment for the children to play in .
We are open Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri 9.15am - 1pm. Early sessions from 8.45am every day, afternoon sessions until 2.45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
We have a Toddler session on a Wed 9.30am - 11.30am
We also run the local Out of School Club, Dragonflies at Kingswood Primary School.
