MY NAME IS JO MAGGS I HAVE BEEN AN OFSTED REGISTERED CHILDMINDER FOR 21YRS AND JUST CLOSED MY BUSINESS DUE TO RELOCATION. I HAVE 3 GROWN UP SONS AND 2 YOUNG GRANDSONS .I AM NNEB QUALIFIED, OFSTED REGISTERED, ALONG WITH OTHER QULIFICATIONS. I LOVE TAKING THE CHILDREN IN MY CARE OUT AND ABOUT TO GIVE THEM GOOD SOCIAL SKILLS FOR THE FUTURE. I HAVE DECIDED TO RETURN TO NANNYING SINCE THE MOVE TO TAUNTON
My Experience
I HAVE WORKED FOR A VARIETY OF FAMILIES WITH AGES RANGING FROM BIRTH TO 11YEARS,I ALSO HAVE 15YR OLD TRIPLET GODSONS WHO I SEE REGULARLY AND HAVE BEEN GETTING INVOLVED WITH SINCE THEY WERE BORN WHETHER IT BE BATH/BEDTIME ROUTINE, DAYS OUT OR JUST PLAYING WITH THEM AND HELPING MUM OUT. WHEN I QUALIFIED IN 1990 I NANNIED FOR DIFFERENT FAMILIES BEFORE BECOMING A NURSERY OFFICER IN A LOCAL CRECHE THEN BEGAN CHILDMINDING IN 1999 WHEN MY OWN CHILDREN WERE BORN TO BE ABLE TO BE AT HOME WITH THEM.SINCE RETURNING TO NANNYING I HAVE BEEN WITH THE SAME FAMILY FOR 3.5YRS, CARING FOR 2 YOUNG CHILDREN , WITH DUTIES INVOLVING WASHI G, COOKING, NURSERY RUNS, TODDLER GROUPS, RHYME TIME AND TRIPS OUT TO THE LOCAL AREA

Jo has been childminder to my girls for nearly 3 years. They both enjoy being her so much.
She does everything she can to develop them as learners and as people. She has become like a second mum to them and I am so sad that she has relocated.
They loved her so much!!

Great experience with Jo. I have 2 girls- 3 & 6months. My 3yr old always has a great time and is full of chat after. I feel at ease with them in her care and Jo is very warm and friendly towards me. It's great to know I can be at work / doing jobs without constantly worrying if they are ok.

I was very apprehensive about leaving my little girl when I went back to work. I found Jo and I have to say that I couldn't have wished for better for our daughter. An initial meeting allowed me to look at Jo's lovely home and get to know her, talk through her approaches and find out about her daily routine with the children. Jo allowed me to create a settling in period at my own pace and has always accommodated my needs. Understandably my daughter took a while to settle into her new surroundings and adjust to some time without mummy, however Jo has offered nothing but love, security and warmth to my daughter who now loves playing with Jo! I would highly recommend Jo, her flexibility has made my transition back into work so much easier and I am constantly rest assured that my daughter has the best time, always exploring, playing and receiving the best care possible.
