Hi my name is Charlotte Manley. I currently look after a little girl who is 2 1/2 years, 3 days a week, since she was 7 months. Looking for work for my two free days which are Monday and Tuesday.
I am trustworthy, reliable, caring, gentle and am very passionate about my job. I love having fun doing lots of different activities, outdoors and indoors. I love sharing the joy and fun times with children. I believe in learning through play and through personal experiences but know when to set age appropriate boundaries. I love working in partnership with parents, bringing out the very best in the child/children and parents.
I am a mother of two delightful boys, both in secondary school. I feel I have a greater understanding of what is involved with being a parent, physically and emotional and also understand what parents feel when leaving their children with a childcarer. Thanks for taking the time to read my profile.
My Experience
My experience ranges from newborn to teens, although I love working with the little ones (this is where I have gained most of my experience), I have also done lots of maternity work and helped many parents with routine and building their confidence to be the best parent they want to be. I have worked in many different countries, working in all types of situations as a nanny, maternity nurse, in childcare centres and kids clubs. I have lots of experience with special needs. I have for 6/7 years worked as a SEN Teaching assistant in Primary schools, here in Tunbridge Wells and in London. I have also volunteered in schools.
My Qualifications
Nannying since 1995, NNEB qualification, DBS, First Aid, completed a course in Understanding Autism, Asperger's & ADHD, Paediatric Moving and Handling, Paediatric Diabetes Training, Colic and Reflux Training, Breast feeding workshops, qualified as an Infant massage instructor with IAIM.
I can drive, hold a clean driving Licence, have my own car. I am a non-smoker. I have excellent references which can be checked.
I have been a SEN TA for 6 years gaining lots of experience with all children.
My Availability
Looking for extra work but not more than 2 days, I am available Monday and Tuesday. Could be a bit of adhoc care, maternity day nanny or just helping out with the little ones.
I am also happy to babysit.
