I am a responsible, loyal ,calm, enthusiastic and artistic individual with over 20 years childcare experience. Self motivated and takes great pride in everything that needs doing. I have two teenagers of my own and I come from a very large family of child carers , my brother adopted 5 siblings while having 3 of his own children and my sister is also a foster carer with a family of her own .
I have worked in a school for a year but I found being a nanny more rewarding and suited to my personality .
I love working with children and i am a firm believer in routines and good manners .. all done in a very loving way.
I have been a back up foster carer for my sister for over 20 years and i have been with a lovely family for two years caring for their 5 year old twin boys and 3 year old brother , very busy and fun household .
I am looking for a new position as the hours have changed and they won’t be needing a full time position anymore .. I will still be doing their babysitting and housesitting as and when they need but of course my next family will have priority.
I do believe children should be children that need to have fun , I love doing arts and crafts , reading , cooking , Lego building , playing in the park, tree climbing , play dates , toddler groups and so on .
I have a fantastic nanny network and we regularly meet up in local parks.
My Experience
back up foster carer for my sister who is a foster carer, i take care of her children if she has to attend meetings or appointments, i have been doing this for over 20 years now.
For the past four years I have been with a wonderful family caring for their 4 year old daughter and 1 year old son , I was with them since she was 5 months old. before this position I was an after school nanny taking care of a 7 year old little girl and 11 year old boy.
I would pick them up from school, help them with homework , cook or heat their evening meals , reading with and too them, taking them to the park or on outings during the holidays.
My Qualifications
I am CRB checked , first aided, full clean driving licence, i have just completed an online Safeguarding Everyone - Protecting Children , Young People and Adults at Risk (CPD) 2014 course.
