My Summary

My Experience

I have eighteen years experience in the Childcare industry. I have worked in childcare settings since February 2003, having different job roles as i progressed. I started out as a Nursery Assistant, then worked towards becoming a Nursery Nurse, I then moved on to become Deputy Nursery Manager.
I have worked in two different nursery schools in my time as a qualified nursery nurse. I am very passionate about my job and enjoy the rewards that come with learning children and watching them grow.
In these settings my role was to support the children's learning and development through play, building up their language, literacy and numeracy skills and to help them achieve the learning goals of the EYFS. Encouraging co-operation and good behaviour. Making sure all children are safe at all times. Planned and prepared activities and materials to support the children's learning. Set out activities. Speak with parents and carers about their children's development. Monitor children's progress. Attend meetings and training courses. Work alongside other professionals such as Health Visitors and Speech and language Therapists.

I have also worked as a Children's Rep in Benalmadena, Costa Del Sol Spain.This was June 2006. Here i worked in a large team based in a hotel. I followed a weekly plan to set up and carry out different activities to suit the age of the children ranging from 12 months to fifteen years old.I was responsible for all children that attended the children's clubs whilst i was on duty.I made sure that all health and safety policies and procedures where adhered to at all times.
I have experience in working with the National Curriculum Framework to teach children up to reception age subjects including Science, Language, Literacy and Numeracy to meet their age related goals according to the EYFS. This along with a number of other important skills such as speech and language, social skills, fine motor and gross motor.
I have experience of caring for children outside of work both in my home and in the chidren's homes. These have been children of family and friends.
I am willing to learn new skills to taylor myself to certain job roles also.
My most recent job role was a Private Nanny for a family with two children. In this role I done activities with the children, stuck to routine such as homework, bath time and bed time etc. I also done house keeping such as cleaning, windows, laundry and ironing. I also cooked.

My Qualifications

I hold several different qualifications a have completed a variety of courses including First Aid, Safeguarding Safeguarding Level 1 Induction Training, Safeguarding Level 2 Children Training, Safeguarding Level 3 Neglect Training ,Awareness of child abuse and neglect- Core V3, NCFE Level 1 working with Children, Cache Level 2 Certificate in Childcare and Education. Using songs and rhymes to develop speaking and listening skills .Level 2 Key Skills in Communication, Application of Number, Information, communication Technology.
My First Aid does now need upgrading which I will be willing to complete ASAP and I will also need an updated DBS check.

• Nannying from £10.00 per hour (gross)
