Hi! My name is Priya and I am an Ofsted registered, fully qualified childminder, author and babysitter. Childminding has become a huge part of my life since 2013 and is still my biggest passion.Taking care of children is much more than just a job for me; each individual child will receive 100% love and care and nothing less. I strive to meet children's needs by maintaining a close relationship with parents. Your child's wellbeing, learning and development as well as safety are prioritised and I will work with you to make sure they are achieving to their full potential.
I fully immerse myself into it every aspect of the role, yet know exactly when to simply observe so they have an opportunity to choose how they learn, undisturbed. Ensuring a balance of leadership and the ability to see things from a child's point of view requires great skill, one that I have learnt through managing my setting.
The set up is inspired by children's current age/stage of development, their interests and the areas they require further support in. The aim is to create new experiences for children daily and take them on adventures; so that they can learn with a hands on approach. Under close supervision children are encouraged to take risks, but also become aware of how to safeguard themselves. I ensure children life skills; to be independent and learn their own limits and abilities through play.

My Experience
- Over 13 years of experience babysitting/childminding different age groups simultaneously;

Kids in Motion has been the ideal setting for our daughter. She has attended for the past year and a half until she left recently (cry emoji) to start reception. We hugely value the exceptional care we have experienced with Kids in Motion. A homely environment where children are given autonomy and respect, nurturing and focused learning opportunities and wonderful adventures: including frequent trips to the brilliant local community garden, the library, adventures on the train to city farms, gymnastics centre, soft play, outdoor playgrounds, Discover Centre, beaches... to name a few. Our daughter (and us parents) have felt welcomed into a lovely community through this setting, so it's not just our daughter that will miss it, us too!

Our son has been so happy with Priya and her assistant Jack since starting there when he was 11 months old. Priya did a very through settling in process and is hugely knowledgeable about child development and emotional attachment. The children go on great trips and adventures every day, from the zoo, to playgrounds, travelling into London and spending time in the local community garden. At home there are lots of activities, reading books, dancing and yoga. Most of all it is a very caring and supportive group of children whom my son adores and he is clearly is very attached to Priya within a few short months. Highly recommended!

My daughter started with with Kids in Motion in 2021, and has been attending since then. Priya is a dedicated childminder and it's clear that she really cares about the children she looks after. She puts a lot of effort into taking the children on exciting trips and activities. My son started this year, and my experience with him has been the same, my children are really very happy, and they have experienced very little separation anxiety, as they clearly feel so at home with Priya, which I think speaks volumes. I would recommend Kids in Motion to any parents looking for a kind, warm and motivated childminder.

My daughter started part time with Priya when she was around 18 months, she’s now 3 and her little brother will be starting with him this spring as we love her so much!
I’ve found Priya to be super flexible and accommodating, she absolutely loves the children she looks after and they love her. It’s a real family. Priya takes the time to really get to know them and keep track of their needs, and is really good at updating parents every day on how their child is doing as well as sending lots of pictures etc.
Priya is amazing at choosing interesting and stimulating activities for the children she looks after as well as regularly taking them out for trips to museums, play centres and outside spaces, whatever they do every day is fun and my daughter always looks forward to spending time there. Plus there’s the delicious and nutritious home made food that she makes too!
My children also attend a nursery environment but priyas really is like a family, much more nurturing and personal. She’s supported us through potty training, sleep training, nap transitions and even the arrival of a new sibling with nothing but enthusiasm and kindness.
I can’t recommend Priya enough.

Our daughter has been going to Priya for around a year, since she was two. We changed to Priya from a nursery and it was definitely the right decision. Priya offers amazing care and support, with a stimulating home environment for kids to learn and explore within a small group. She provides nutritious varied veggie meals and gently challenges our picky eater to try new things. She goes the extra mile with regular excursions and visits to museums, soft play, farms. She helps the kids engage with the local community with show and tells with the fire service and railway. Our daughter has developed into a confident, articulate and considerate toddler and Priya has played a huge role in that.

Priya kindly welcomed my 3 year old son this summer whilst our current childminder was on holiday, and we greatly appreciated the flexibility. Priya came to us for some introductory babysitting a few weeks prior so he was familiar with her. Priya and Hannu are lovely and kind, and my son quickly adapted to the setting. Whilst the setting was not as tidy as other settings I’ve seen, it was nice, clean, full of resources and toys. Priya focuses on relationships and activities, which we think is the most important. They took the kids out to wonderful places including to feed the ducks at the park, the Transport Museum and to soft play, and my son had a wonderful time every day. Priya has also come to ours to babysit my son and 6 year old daughter, and everyone has been well and in good spirits when we returned! Although we live a bit too far from Priya for regular childminding, we would not hesitate to call on her for childminding again and will definitely continue to invite her to babysit!

I can't recommend Priya and Hannu enough. They provide an amazing environment for kids. Not only do you feel assured that your child is safe and having lots of fun, but they're learning lots too and getting that individual attention. Every day at Priya's is different, filled with tailored activities, role-play and games, as well as lots of trips to places like the transport museum, city airport, discover centre, soft play, farms..etc and meals are varied and nutritious. You are kept well informed as to what your child has been up to each day. So happy that my child gets to spend time with them.

Priya is the first childcare provider for our daughter and she has been incredible. She has exceptional knowledge, confidence, patience and creativity. I cannot recommend enough Priya! She helped us a lot a few times taking care of our now 4 year old. It was a pleasure to communicate about care arrangements. She is very friendly, approachable, warm and professional. My son adores her which is the best review in my eyes.

Priya has been looking after our son Finn for about 8 months now and we can not rate her more highly. Right from the beginning Priya was fantastic at settling Finn in, he was only 11 months and due to lock-down had did not have much experience of being looked after by others. Priya and her assistant went the extra mile to make Finn feel comfortable and get used to a daycare environment. He is now so excited to go to Priya's every day. It isn't surprising with all the fun activities she puts on from pizza making to Bollywood dancing! We get daily updates and photographs about how he is doing as well as thorough reports about his development. We feel very lucky to have found Kids in Motion.
