My Experience

I have 10 years experience working with children!

For 5 years i worked in a Nursery, starting off spending time with pre schoolers, from there I moved onto the toddler room, with children ageing from 2-3 years old, where I became a room leader. A few of my nursery duties included:
-building relationships with parents
-planning activities
-keeping the environment presentable
-potty/toilet training
-understanding of the EYFS

My nanny duties include:
• Ensuring both children are safe within my care
• Full care of the children during school holidays
• Light housework during the day, washing, keeping both of the children’s rooms presentable
• Walking both of the dogs whilst the children are at school
• Collecting children from school/after school clubs
• Planning activities based on both of the children’s individual interests
• Taking children on exciting days out during school holidays
• Carrying out homework with the children
• Babysitting/Overnight stays when parents are both travelling
• Encouraging children to be active and enjoy outdoor activities
• Arranging play dates with other children
• Encouraging independence and letting children take charge of simple everyday tasks
• Ensure children are polite and respectful
• Prepearing children for bed
• Make sure children are enjoying themselves at all times!

I am also a regular babysitter for another family and have previously spent time working in a Montessori Nursery.

CACHE diploma, Level 3 in Childcare and Education (2008-2010)
Peadiatric First Aid Trained
Key Skills Level 2
DBS checked
