About Me

My name is Funmi. I’m an Ofsted registered childminder. My business is insured and I am a member of national childminding association (PACEY). I speak and write fluently in English. My fees are reasonable and I am open to negotiation depending on parental needs.

I best describe myself as passionate, empathic, and have a willingness to help when it is needed. I consider myself to have good communication skills, patience, able to work under pressure whilst stimulating children’s learning. Providing warmth and comfort to children who are not engaging or possibly suffering from illness or hurt is a quality I also have and I find children are able to connect and build a rapport with me.

As a childminder I have a good knowledge of the new EYFS and will be applying it in my practice. I offer a safe, secure, no smoking and nurturing environment where children can flourish. The children will benefit from a garden space with resources to help stimulate them as well as indoor play area with resources and materials to help aid the prime and specific areas of their learning and development.

The day-to-day activities will consist of adult lead and child initiated (free play), appropriate for their age and stage of development. To name a few, there will be sand, water play, constructions, cookery, story time, nursery rhyme songs, messy play, painting and art and craft and gardening. Children will learn to care for two gold fish. As part of my routine the children will take part in a variety of local community activities that include play groups, leisure centre, baby/toddler gym, local library, local parks, visits to local gardening projects, farm, Museums, suitable for their age and much more. The needs of your child will be met through observing and monitoring their progress and to work in partnership with you.
