I'm a very patient and caring person. I love to see children thrive on learning through play, enjoying new experiences and tasks and developing their individuality.
I also enjoy being outdoors. At my setting, children can play with bikes, cars, tents and tunnels, games and a slide on the patio area or the lawn, dig and discover in the sensory pebble garden, help to grow fruit and vegetables in a large kitchen garden; where we also keep 5 chickens in a run. (Well away from the play areas).
There are also lots of parks and walks near to where I live.
I'm registered for overnight care. I have wheelchair access to all ground floor rooms including the play room and a separate downstairs bathroom.
My home is also very easy to find.
As my sons have now grown up, my home seems quiet and empty and needs children to fill it.
My Experience
I've worked with professionally with children for over 20 years, initially with children with specific learning needs. I qualified as a teacher in 2006 and worked for 10 years in a mainstream school.
Both my children were born premature (5 weeks and 9 weeks). Early parenting experiences were difficult and learning for my 9 weeks prem child was initially delayed.
As a parent I've organised parties, sleep overs, day trips and camping trips for my own children and their friends; and until recently enjoyed a constantly 'full house'.

Gill is an amazing person and even better childminder my daughter has been going to Gill for just over 2 years and has been very supportive caring and kind throughout all that time. She is also very reliable. Her house is always very clean and has toys for all ages that my daughter loves also do outdoor activities which keeps the kids very busy. And also educates the kids there are things I have no clue about which my daughter knows which is great. Also really good dinners that my child actually eats(she’s picky at home). Best decision I made was choosing Gill as the childminder for my child.

Jill has been caring for our little boy, 2/3 days per week since he was 15months,he is now 3. Jill is very flexible with her hours and will try to accommodate last minute changes of plan. Having her do weekends is a huge bonus for us as there are very few childminders who do. Her home is immaculately clean and well equipped with lots of space and a separate play room for the children. She grows veg in her beautiful garden and encourages children to learn out food and help to grow things. They are given healthy, home grown food if they have a tea time meal. The children spend lots of time in her garden or go to local parks for walks. She gives very little screen time and instead focuses on lots of learning games, baking and gardening.
Above all, Jill is a wonderful lady who cares for the children like a parent but also like a teacher (she is a former teacher after all) and this shows by all the new things our son learns about on his days with her. He has made lots of friends of all ages and his confidence has grown so much due to this. We can't thank Jill enough for everything she does for our family.

Jill is absolutely fantastic, my little girl, who is autistic, absolutely loves her. Jill have been able to connect with her perfectly. I struggled to find childminder because of my working hours on weekends and sometimes overnight and Jill is a blessing. Flexibile, always trying her best to help. My little girl loves the setting as well. Thank you Jill 😊

Being a single parent, i had struggled finding a reliable and flexible childminder. It was by accident that i ended up talking with Jill and finally meeting her. There are no words to describe how good it feels knowing that my little is being taken care of while i am away at work. Jill is the type of person that sets such a good example not just for children but also for adults.
I could not be more grateful to Jill for taking such good care of my daughter, and my heart fills with joy when my daughter asks to see Jill.
She is just the best!!!

Gill has been looking after our 5 year old son for a year now and we can’t be grateful enough for all she’s done to our son and for all the help she’s provided to us as a family . She’s very professional with kids of all age , caring and reliable . She always goes the extra mile to try to accommodate our needs especially with our long working hours .
Her house is an excellent environment to stimulate kids of all age. It’s always very clean and tidy, has got different toys and activities for kids to enjoy whether indoors and outdoors , Chicken feeding and collecting eggs, light gardening and planting around her garden .
She also arranges for activities to parks , farms playgrounds etc where possible .
We all feel so lucky to have her as part of our family.

Gill is an amazing lady and has been an excellent childminder. Such a wonderful caring person and will help wherever she can. She has supported us with the development of our 2yr old son and he has changed dramatically over time due to Gills determination to support him in reaching his milestones. Gills surroundings are perfect for children, and when visiting, the children have always been happy and content. From the first moment of meeting Gill I felt such at ease and confident leaving my child with her. My son enjoys all the activities she does with him and the other children. Particularly in the garden feeding the chickens and tending to the vegetables! I would very highly recommend Gill as a childminder and can’t thank her enough.

I had interviewed a total of 30 childminders till we came across Jill who ticked all of our boxes. She looked after our little boy from 13 months to coming up to his 2nd birthday. When we went to pick him up he would cry for us to stay with him and wouldn’t want to leave which said it all. She’s fantastic with teaching children the core of outdoor and free play. With teaching from her chicken coop to her vegetable garden the children love digging and feeding and understanding where their food comes from. Our once shy little boy blossomed to a confident chatty little man. All thanks to Jill. She’s always really understanding of working parents and always try to accommodate where she can. Days and nights. Without Jill I don’t know how we would have coped being working parents. She filled in the gaps of love, attentive care and nourishing our little ones minds with her experience and guidance, can’t say enough of this amazing childcare provider Would have never left. If it wasn’t due to moveing homes.

Jill has cared for my 4 year old daughter Jamelia for the last 18 months. She is very professional polite and very accommodating. My daughter's social skills have developed really well since being in her care. She is always happy to help and does her best to accommodate parents needs when requiring emergency childcare. I would highly recommend Jill. She is an excellent childminder. My daughter loves her time when spending time with her. Fantastic childminder. X

Jill has looked after my son on a weekend for over a year. Jill has always been reliable, friendly and organised. My 2 year old son has made fantastic friendships and bonds with the other children that are under gills care, it is lovely to leave my son knowing he feels safe and happy with his surroundings. He often feeds the chickens and fruit and vegetable patch in the back garden which he loves. Gill has also been brilliant with Dylan’s educational learning. Gill writes in my sons book each day to tell me exactly what has happened through out the day, the book is a lovely touch.

My 2 girls, aged 6 & 9 came to Jill regularly and every single time it came to home time they didn't want to leave! she is so friendly and welcoming and put me at ease within the first few minutes of meeting her.
she has a beautiful house with lots for the children to do including tending to her home grown fruit and vegetables which they have the chance to pick and eat for their tea also.
After each visit my girls were full of stories of the fun activities they had been doing that day and unlike many childminders who are happy for kids to sit in front of tv, they were always busy interacting and playing different games or learning new things.
I would recommend her to anybody.
