Hi, my name is Elsa.
I run Little Steps Home Nursery.
I set up Little Steps to be inclusive and welcoming for all families. A place where families and children can feel safe, valued, cared and loved. A place where children will have a wonderful time and learn new skills at the same time that will be needed for the next step.
My favourite hobby is Art and I strongly believe in one of Pablo Picasso's quotes, “ Every child is an artist", with a unique talent to be unveiled through love, care, and support.
All our meals are prepared fresh from seasonal ingredients and are always balanced and nutritious. I’m offering hot lunches every day, as well as healthy snacks and I am open to working in partnership with families regarding introducing new foods and avoiding allergens. As a mother of 3 Children with lactose intolerance, I understand very well that matters as I have previously had my children with childminders so I fully understand the importance of ensuring the right choices are made when it comes to childcare for your children.
My setting is registered with an amazing Childminding Agency called Tiney which supports us in ensuring we follow the EYFS framework. Tiney is an Ofsted-registered childcare agency.
A Little Steps home nursery is situated in a quiet and safe location in Borehamwood - Hertfordshire and we are surrounded by beautiful green areas and parks for children to explore.
Close to local schools, shops, bus stops, and train station.
We live in a spacious 3 bedroom house with a garden and playroom fully equipped for children’s development.
Our opening hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
My Experience
I have always been passionate about looking after children and nurturing young minds and Hearts. I have comprehensive knowledge of weaning, sleep routines, potty training, safeguarding, first aid and the EYFS.
I want to give parents the security that their children are well looked after and in a happy and safe environment surrounded by friends and adults who truly care.
I have a lovely bright setting that allows children of all ages to explore, learn and develop through play.

Elsa is a fantastic childminder. I could not feel happier leaving my children in her care. She provides a loving, fun environment, freshly cooked food, and a spotlessly clean setting. I get daily updates on what they're up to and always so much thought and effort involved in activities focused on EYFS - my children are thriving. A fantastic playroom and garden full of toys/activities. The kindest person who goes above and beyond to help care for little ones.

I always have a peace of mind when I am dropping my daughter to Little Steps. Elsa is the most sweetest, caring, loving person I have ever met. I know my child is in safe hands with her, she is sending updates what is my child up to. She is always providing healthy snacks, planning different fun activities daily for her. Her house is spot less. Elsa is so helpful I can not thank her enough for her hard work. I am so glad I have chosen Elsa to look after my little one I would 100% choose her again.
