About Me
I run a small setting, which has that home from home feel, where children can grow and develop at their own pace.
I have been Ofsted registered childminder for 7 years now and what an amazing journey it has been.
Most of the children I’ve looked after stayed with me for many years. This allows children do get very comfortable at my setting and familiar with each other and our routine. We end up having very close bond and they feel like they’re going to auntie’s for a play. They feel safe, comfortable and happy. All the learning is covered as per Ofsted requirements in creative and engaging manner.
I have done so much with my Little Butterflies. We did a charity walk and fundraising for Save the Children Charity. We’ve also done charity 1K run. With the older ones, we listen to stories in Spanish and learn some words along the way. We do yoga, which especially the little ones love so much and giggle all the time.
We are spending most of our days outside playing with natural resources which is great for children’s imagination.
I’m always looking for new and exciting ideas to make sure that the little ones have the best day possible every day.

I'm mum myself to three gorgeous boys who are 11, 8 and 4 years old. They made many friends throughout my childminding years.
I also provide drop offs and pick ups from Orion primary school.
My setting is bright and spacious with variety of toys, recycled materials for junk modelling and anything else to satisfy children's imagination and to support their development.
I live right next to a beautiful park which is great for all the outings we do. We go and see the ducks and learn about the nature and importance of being outside. We visit library regularly. We love going to the RAF museum and many playgroups in our area. We also love going to playgrounds to have fun and to support children’s physical development.
The EYFS is followed and you get daily updates with pictures.
Everything we do, we do the fun way, so every child feels relaxed and valued.
Home made food is provided throughout the day.
My Experience
Over the years I came across all ages with 5 months old being my youngest. I also have an experience with special needs children. I'm member of Pacey organisation which keeps me up to date with all the relevant information and provides additional trainings so I can offer the best service possible at all times.

Our 3 years old daughter has been going to Lucie’s for nearly a year now and I am thrilled to share our wonderful experience. From the moment we found her, we felt incredibly lucky. Her warm-hearted and friendly nature made us all feel welcomed and safe. She is incredibly adaptable and accommodating, always willing to work with our schedule and needs, very reliable and excellent at communication.
Throughout the day, they engage in a variety of great learning activities in a wonderful homely environment. Whether it's exploring outdoors or enjoying creative indoor games, there's always something exciting happening. From yoga sessions to building houses and painting, her creativity knows no bounds. Regularly, we receive updates about their adventures and activities which we love receiving. My daughter loves the food that is provided, even if the pasta is naughty and jumps off the spoon.
Overall, Lucie’s provides a warm, friendly, family feel environment that we are grateful to be a part of. We highly recommend her to everyone and will be staying for as long as possible :)

Lucie is a great childminder and her setting is perfect for kids. My son started going to her from 2 years old and he loved it there. Lucie does great activities for kids, take them out to library so kids get use to reading books, crafts for motor skills and creativity development etc. My son loved playing with her children especially her youngest as they are a same age. We had to stop using her service as my son started Nursery but he still mentions about Lucie which I think is lovely.

My 3 year old daughter has been going to Lucie since she was 18 months old. She loves Lucie and her boys and is very excited for her days with Lucie and often cries when it’s not the childminding days. This shows me that my daughter feels so safe and loved which makes my life so much easier knowing that my child is happy! Dropping my daughter off is like dropping her off at an aunties house which is incredible because have a setting where it feels like a home away from home is just what I wanted.

Lucie is our after school childminder and she collects my son from school. My son absolutely adores Lucie, he built very strong connection with her and looks forward to afternoons with Lucie and the butterflies. Lucie helps him with building up his confidence and positive outlook on life. His afternoon is always well balanced and he is always happy when I collect him.
Lucie is very easy going, reliable and always willing to accommodate our needs. We hope she remains our childminder for many years to come.

I couldn’t recommend Lucie enough ! My daughter and I both absolutely love her. All children are welcomed into her amazing family instantly . She has always been so reliable and it has been a comfort having her look after my daughter.

I don't think would have enough words to recommend Lucie. She is looking for my son for over one year and it's been amazing. My son adores her and her boys and constantly talking about them. There are so lovely! And my boy doesn't wanna leave her space, it's that much he loves being with them. Lucie is kind, caring and thoughtful, very positive and full of energy and you can see from far that she loves looking for children. Always thinks and gets so many activities and surprises for children to make before special days/occasions. Lucie you are the best and I'm beyond grateful to have you looking after Alex.

I met Lucie a few years ago when I taught her oldest son in reception. From the moment I met her I knew she was a fabulous parent - all the other children in the class loved her and her son and she was also popular amongst the other parents. Whilst teaching her son, I became pregnant myself and Lucie was the one and only person I had in mind to care for my own son and when I finished my maternity leave.
Leaving Marley with Lucie has been the best decision I have ever made! Marley loved Lucie and is treated like a member of her family. We are vegetarian and she accommodates this with her meal plans - learning about the nutrition he needs as a non-meat eater and providing healthy and delicious food for him. The activities she plans for the children in her care are fun and engaging - they spend as much time as possible outside enjoying nature and that is important for us, we want Marley to be active and develop an appreciation for nature instead of staying inside. Lucie also takes the children to local playgroups, parks and museums - they are out adventuring all the time, learning about new places and people.
My partner and I are both experienced educators and would highly recommend Lucie as a childminder. We trust her completely and love her and her family like our own.

Lucie has been looking after my daughter since she was 11 months old (now 26 months old)
I have made the perfect choice. My daughter loves her setting and enjoys spending time with the boys everyday.
Daughter is also learning a lot through play. She is so far developing very well.

Lucie runs an excellent childminder set up at Little Butterflies. My son (27.12.16) has been looked after by Lucie since her was 5 months old. She is caring, capable, energetic and organised. Always a positive person and I have no doubt that my son is loved and utterly cared for every day she looks after him. Lucie is always thinking ahead of engaging things to do with her children, and about their needs and development. She has supported Theo through changes in nap patterns, weaning, switching milk, and also babysits for us weekly (with my 3.5 year old too), doing double bedtime.
We moved my daughter from a nanny to nursery set up at 18 months, but we are so happy with Lucie we plan to keep my son with her childminders for at least another year :-)

Lucie is a wonderful person and definitely an amazing care provider. Very accommodating and can do whatever is best for your child. I did not get a chance to work with her as it was a bit far from our home but am sure any child would be happy and safe in her settings.
