About Me
I have been childminding for 18years. I currently have spaces for under fives. I like to attend mother and baby groups most days as i believe it is good for the children to interact with other children. I also like to take the children out every day for fresh air, taking walks along the river or down to ferry meadows feeding the ducks, collecting leaves or just investigating creepy crawlies. I also have a separate playroom for playing, painting, drawing. I regularly attend childcare courses to keep up to date and I can provide references from parents. I have a very happy home where the children are well cared for and get plenty of cuddles and attention.
My Experience
I have been ofsted registered for 18 years now and at my last inspection ( 2024 )was graded GOOD. I have a purpose built playroom for the children with plenty of toys to play with. I have plenty of experience having had two children of my own. I have plenty of time and love to give to little ones. . I do attend childcare courses regularly and I have regular contact with some of my past mindees even those that have moved away. I have a good network of childminding friends and we meet regularly most days and all of the children interact very well with each other.
My Qualifications
I am an Ofsted registered childminder who is DBS checked with an up to date paediatric first aid certificate. I also have my safeguarding children certificate and my introduction to childcare practice home based. And i believe being a parent myself is experience in itself. I also have my Quality and Diversity Certificate and my Prevent Duty Certificate.
My Availability
I now have full time and part time spaces available and can offer 2 or 3 yr funding.

My daughter who will be leaving to start school in September started with Sharon at the age of 9 months. She instantly settled in and was relaxed and comfortable there. Sharon has become a nanny to my daughter and genuinely cares about what she does.
My daughter has had the best of both worlds during her time with Sharon. She gets to socialise with other children at play groups, goes on outings to places such as farms, museums and baby gyms as well as completing arts and crafts at the setting.
At the setting there is a great play room which is full of different toys which Sharon often changes and updates.
My daughter has grown into a confident, happy and caring little girl who I believe Sharon has contributed to with her kindness, calm and caring nature and fairness.
We will miss seeing you and will miss you dearly.

I have been with Sharon now for 8 months and I cannot fault her clean, appropriate and nuturing set up, personal abilities and support she has offered my son and our family.
Sharon is calm, fair, friendly and suitably managed.
My 2 year old son can count to 10 and back, enjoys wooden blocks and interacts like a team player despite being an only child. He says please and thank you and is calm and well balanced. Sharon has been having my son for 40 hours a week and so I can only attribute part of his upbringing to her hard work as well as my own.
From a parents perspective she is approachable, understanding and has a wealth of life experience. She has been a pleasure and is worth her weight in gold! (If only I had as much!) My boy will only be leaving for financial purposes, his nanny retires but even then me and my mum considered that she would not be as good as sharon and it was literally the cost of having a grandparent provide care that it came down to.
Of course Sharon does all the usual, offstead, update reports, pictures of events, crafts for speciail occasions (that you get to keep! : ) ) and curricular activities. What I can say is that I have never met someone as dedicated to her wards as sharon, as I have my sons amazing, neon genius, artwork on the wall... you can guarantee that she will too, proud of the good work she's done.
We'll miss her and remember as another nanny xxx

Sharon was childminder to my two children for two years. I interviewed a few people before making my choice...and it was a very easy decision. My children chose her!! She has a natural way with children, and my two were always happy. She helped my son (who has been plagued with illness) develop into a confident and chatty little boy; and encouraged my shy daughter to come out of her shell! Sharon is very adaptable, and would taken my children for days out, as well as to various play groups.
