Hello and welcome. My name is Deborah Marsh and I am an Ofsted Registered Childcare Provider, and I have been graded as GOOD in all categories, during my December 2023 Inspection.
I have been childminding for 30 years to date, and I still , truly , love my job. My work ethos and commitment to your child, as described below, is a true and accurate representation of both myself and my daily routine. :-)
Over the years, I have provided both Good and Outstanding childcare within the local community and i am a well known face to many locals, , who always see me out and about with the children .
I live alone in a lovely, non smoking home, with a purpose built, child orientated garden in Greenwich. just off Old Woolwich Road. . This time last year , my garden a total revamp --once again-- to make sure it continues to be an amazing space for both children and myself to be around.
Your child will be made to feel very welcome to this setting and he/she will gain knowledge and understanding , and "much laughter and fun," through a wide range of experiences of play and interaction with the other children.
Children and parents , have, in the past built solid and lasting friendships with their peers.
I continue to have a real passion for life , I am full of energy and I believe in healthy living, and this shows through the healthy and nutritious food, that I cook fresh, daily for the children. (very rarely processed foods , apart from Birds Eye 100% Cod Fillet Fish Fingers ). Snacks will always be wide range of fruit and raw veg , such as cucumber, peppers, carrots , bananas, satsumas, rice cakes etc etc
I currently feed the children organic chicken and beef and buy good quality fresh salmon, , lots of lentils and pulses etc, as i feel this is a healthy way to eat and gives the children a great nutritional advantage at an early age.
I take the children out daily, in all weathers , and we enjoy the fresh air and the outdoor environment.
In the heat of the summer, we spend a lot of time playing in the garden , using our Tuff Trays, to explore lots of different mediums of messy play . ie, cooked pasta, flowers, cornflour, , fruits, herbs, water, ice cubes, food colouring etc etc etc , the list is truly endless.
The children enjoy visits to Greenwich Park, playground and sand pit, plus the herb and flowers gardens. The National Maritime Museum is a favourite during wetter weather. We all enjoy walking along the river and seeing the wildlife on the water, ducks , geese and swans with their babies, adorable.
We go to The Bridge Playgroup, which has both indoor and outdoor play areas, Indoor Soft Play at The Forum, indoor soft play at Wavelengths in Deptford,
We walk everywhere with the children and pushchair, and i refuse to take the bus :-)--its more hassle than its worth.
The children get to enjoy lots of messy play outdoors--such as the sandpit and water play in Greenwich Park Playground---I have learnt to always have plenty of spare clothes with me !!! and suncream and sun hats etc etc etc
In my newly, purpose built garden, we have a, little tikes play cube,
bikes, trikes, sit n ride toys, water play, bubble machine, sand play, plus a play kitchen with lots of play food, pots and pans etc, pushchairs, dollies , garages , cars etc etc etc..
The area is very safe and private and the children thoroughly enjoy themselves, and are constantly in and out of the house playing .
The children also enjoy planned daily activities , such as sensory play----cornflour, shaving foam, coloured rice, play dough, painting, , sticking drawing etc..
i have a huge array of good quality ,new and updated, toys and equipment, . The children enjoy playing with construction toys, small world play, dressing up--clothes, different sparkly fabrics, hats, scarves, shoes, slippers etc--puzzles, books, building blocks ,etc, the list is truly endless. I constantly update and renew my toys so that they are at a high standard of quality at all times.

When i went back to work we had put our then 14m old son into a local nursery. He cried everyday for 3wks. We decided to pull him out. We live around the corner from Debbie and I had seen her around locally with children so did a bit of investigative work and got in touch. We instantly warmed to Debbie and from day one our son settled well into her care and did not cry at all, a huge relief. Debbie regularly sends pictures to keep us updated as to what they are doing throughout the day. She goes out with the children several times a week and if they don't go out they play in the garden or do lots of different educational and fun activities at home. She cooks a good variety of tasty looking food snd provides healthy snacks. Our son is always clean and well cared for and he always sleeps well. Debbie creates a warm, loving, fun environment and we 100% trust her to look after our son as we know he has a great time with her.
After I had picked our son up once he tripped just outside our building and cut his head open, my husband was on his way back from work so I ran back to Debbie's house and she calmly helped me whilst I waited for 10 minutes for my husband to get home and drive us to the hospital. So you can also rely on Debbie in an emergency!
We are absolutely gutted that we have to move but feel so lucky for the time our son has had with Debbie as we couldn't have asked for a better person to care for him and put our mind at ease. Thank you so much Debbie. We will miss you ALOT! X

My 2yo has been with Debbie for a year and I feel as if I have hit the jackpot! It's evident how much she cares for my daughter and I feel completely secure in the fact that she is meeting all of her needs while providing her with a loving and safe environment. She selects and prepares healthy, yummy meals and provides us with meal plans for the week. I love that she is always on the look out for new toys and activities for the little ones, always keeping them busy. My daughter adores Debbie (so do we) and because of this, we view her as part of our family. We're truly lucky to have found such a caring person to look after our daughter!!!

Debbie is a fantastic childminder and early years practitioner. She provides an excellent learning environment for all the children she looks after. She is warm and caring while setting clear boundaries and being extremely professional. Although I found it very difficult to go back to work after having my son, Debbie settled him in beforehand which made things a lot easier. I have some wonderful memories of my son's time with Debbie: the mess he made of himself enjoying his first strawberry; seamless potty training (I was expecting it to be a nightmare) and, when he was older, reading stories to the younger children after school. I receive lots of compliments on my son's nature and behaviour, and I always give credit to Debbie for the fantastic start in life she helped us give him. I can't recommend her highly enough.

It was hard going back to work when my daughter was 8 months, but Debbie helped me put my mind at ease from the moment I met her. What Debbie says in her description is 100% true. She takes the kids out to lots of playgroups and cooks her food herself. She cares about each of the kids in her care deeply.
Debbie is easy to talk to and always gives you an honest account of your child's day. Kids also learn to understand boundaries with Debbie - which was very important to me - however in a playful way.
Debbie's home is also close to Maze Hill station, which I was glad about.

Our 2-year old son has been with Debbie for over a year. He absolutely adores Debbie. She has tons of toys, a lovely garden, a little lovely dog and a cat. She is full of energy and takes the kids almost every day to toddler groups in the area and Greenwich park. She also provides healthy home-cooked food and snacks for the kids, which is another reason why we have chosen her in the first place. I can highly recommend her if you are looking for someone reliable who provides a loving and stable environment for kids to grow up. Unfortunately, she won't move with us.
