About Me
My name is Jackie and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. until Christmas 2014 I spent 20 years working as a teacher in a school in London.
I live in Addlestone with my daughter Natalie and her 13 year old son. Natalie and I work together so we can offer a flexible provision which includes a high ratio of adults to children. My other daughter, Sarah, works as our assistant, so we are a real family concern. Although the three of us work together, this is not so we can take care of larger numbers of children. Instead, we limit the number of children we care for to make sure that each child gets our full attention and care. It also means that there is always an adult available to give hugs or spend one to one time with an individual child if that is what they want.
Both Natalie and I love working with children and we provide a comfortable but stimulating home from home environment. We make good use of our local environment such as trips to the local library; to several local parks and to feed the ducks at Coxes Lock. The children take part in Gruffalo hunts and mini-beast investigations, listen to stories, do music and dance, arts and crafts and much more. However, for us, one of the most important things is that we always try to build on the child's likes and interests so they are interested and enthusiastic.
We follow the Early Years Foundation stage (EYFS).
Our home has a play room and a fully enclosed garden.

My Availability
Our hours are 8.00 to 5.30 Monday to Thursday.
We are happy to provide term time only contracts.
Unfortunately, we do not offer before or after school care for school aged children and we do not do nursery drop offs/pick ups for younger children.

- Childminding from £6.75 per hour
To be discussed - snacks included free for all children and other meals for those with us for sessions lasting 6 or more hours are also free
