About Me
I am an enthusiastic and caring individual. I adore children and love working as a nanny, as such I am motivated to help children become happy, healthy, and confident. I’m skilled in creating schedules, following commitments and maintaining routines. I listen carefully and follows directions well. I have a passion for encouraging a love of exploration and learning in every child.
Currently working for 3 families. 2 days, children ages 5,8&10 1 day a week with children age 2 & 5. 1 day a week with a 7 month old. And as a wedding nanny for children ages 9 weeks and upwards. Available for adhoc work and babysitting.
My Experience
I am a professional nanny with over 17 years of paid childcare experience, of which the last 10 years I have spent nannying (newborn-11 years old). I’ve spent 3 years travelling and nannied around New Zealand and Australia exploring cultural differences and similarities of child rearing techniques in family settings. I have been around the care of children all my life as both my parents were childminders. I have looked after children of all ages, from newborn to 17 years old. I enjoy helping children learn and develop through play, sparking creativity and imagination through various activities. I enjoy arts and crafts, baking and sensory play. I believe reading books to children are an extremely valuable resources for promoting development. Please refer to my CV for a full work history. I hold a qualification in early years First Aid and common core skill and knowledge in childcare as well as a Bachelor degree in health studies.
I facepaint at birthday parties and babysit, I was an assistant dance teacher and whilst abroad I created a dance club (with around 45 members) and choreographed a dance showcase .
I hold a full clean driving licence and my own car.
