Hi ! My name is Gillian and I live in Emerson Valley, Milton Keynes, with my husband. We are conveniently located opposite Emerson Valley School and within easy walking distance of Howe Park School. Our own children are 31 and 27 and have their own homes now. My husband is DBS cleared and first aid trained and has a Suitability Certificate from Ofsted, he works full time with me as my assistant.
We provide an excellent home from home environment where each child is treated as an individual and part of our family.
I really love my job, it is challenging and rewarding and every day is varied. We provide outdoor activities, walking, picnics, parks, woodland adventures and feeding the ducks at the lake. We have a beautiful large garden with artificial grass and an all year round gazebo, so we can make the most of our outdoor space. We do baking, arts and crafts and messy play. The Early Years Statutory Framework is followed, and of course we learn through play too. We visit the library regularly for storytime and singing, and we meet with another childminder for group activities and forest walks. Children in our care are made to feel part of the family.

My Experience
I have been registered with Ofsted for over 24 years and have 29 continuous years of providing quality childcare. I have experience with newborns, toddlers, twins, all school ages and even teenagers! Some of my children I have cared for since they were a few months old right through to secondary school, I have stayed in touch with a few of them even now they are in their 20s !
Each child is treated as an individual, and their happiness and safety whilst in our care is of paramount importance. I am flexible with my hours and accommodate to suit parents/families as best I can.

Gill has been fantastic the past few years. My daughter joined her at 11months and left just after turning 3. We needed someone that would be flexible with hours as my husband works shifts so each week was different. She was great with my daughter and always kept us updated with how she had been each day. We would get videos and pictures sent to us too. Highly recommend! Thank you Gill. We don't know what we'd have done without you over past couple of years.
