My name is Katie and i live in Durrington and graded ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted.

Activities
We play lots and Love to help each other. We love time in the fresh air, we go for walks to our local park and feed the ducks and swans on the River Avon too. On sunnier days we have picnics at the park and discuss the environment around us. We visit shops, playgroups and soft play centres, Farms these are not always planned. The children also love to play in the garden with the sand, water and mud play i also provide other messing play activities. They love to play on the trikes and scooters and on the slide, We also have regular fun dates with other childminders and their children. I promote healthy eating and try to get the children try new things and educate the children in what is healthy and what is not.
I also have a wide range of indoor activities to learn from like blocks, dolls, dressing up and role play, ICT toys, cars, train track, books, puzzles etc.
I do try to encourage the children to learn all the time whether that's counting, colours, shapes or saying new words to putting their own coats and shoes on and washing hands etc. I am not a qualified teacher but I am qualified in Early Years and caring for your child and putting their needs first is my priority, I like to encourage all children to learn, adapt & progress.
My Experience
Here at First Steps i am an extremely experienced childminder graded 'GOOD' by Ofsted. I worked at Noah's Ark Nursery in Bulford for 5 years before deciding to make a career in childminding on my own in January 2014. I’ve been working in childcare for 16 years and i’ve had lots of parents and children who have been extremely happy with the childminding service i’ve provided.

My Availability
I work Monday to Thursday open from
7:45am-5:00pm
I offer half term holiday cover.
I also do school pick up’s & drop offs to Durrington Infants school and Durrington Junior school.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
I charge £5ph for early years children
And I charge £5ph for pick ups and drop offs for school children.
I give the children mid morning snack & afternoon snack which is free
I also provide the Government funding

My son had enjoyed a wide range of activities with Katie. He skips in and comes home with pictures and baking. He is developing well learning his colours and numbers. Would definitely recommend her service. She is professional and caring.
