About Me

My name is Abbey, I am 33 years old and started childminding in October 14, working alongside my mum Yvonne. I am registered as a childminder and also Childcare On Domestic Premies allowing our setting to grow to what it is today. We are registered for 12 children a day, and have an additional 2 staff members Holly and Jaz.

I adore children and animals, and take a huge amount of pleasure seeing them happy and having fun.
I consider myself to be a kind, considerate and fun loving person.

I have lived in Holmes Chapel for 30 years with my parents and brother. Our home is our setting, which overlooks the farmers fields and children's play area on Elm Drive close to the Hermitage Primary School.

We have a large playroom to the rear of the property with outdoor access for the children. We have also converted our garage into a new room for the children. In our new playroom the children can engage in messy play, crafts, baking and enjoy their meals in there!
All ages are catered for, and we are constantly changing the toys and space so children can continue to explore and play.

Outside in our garden we have a large climbing frame with 2 slides, a play house, Little Tikes cars, bikes, a sandpit, water play activities, toddler and babies climbing frame and slides and a babies swing along many more outdoor toys.

Comfort and safety are a priority for your child, so we have cots, sleep mats, double and single pushchairs, highchairs and small tables and chairs for painting, crafts and meal times.

We continue to increase our range of toys and equipment as we grow.
The children are taken regularly on walks through the countryside at the rear of our property to explore nature! We also like to take them on days out to the park, the aquarium, the farm, the zoo, soft play etc.

Your child's stay with us is captured in their own learning journal via Tapestry, which parents can look through at any time.
Your child's development, safety and enjoyment is at the centre of our daily planning.
