About Me
My name is Vanessa May. I am originally from the Philippines. I am a mother of two children, Bailey 17 years old and Maya 14 years old. My husband and I have been together for 20 years now.
I am a registered Childminder inspected by OFSTED. I aim to provide a safe and secure homely environment for your child/children. I will value and respect each and every child as individual.
I will work closely in partnership with you as parents/carers to meet the needs of your child/children. I will encourage sharing, respecting, caring and loving one another. I also aim to promote a happy, warm and stimulating environment for each child so they can develope socially, mentally, emotionally and physically.
I meet the required adult-child ratio. Training and qualification requirements are met and organised space and resources to meet your child/children's needs effectively .
I have completed a Paediatric First Aid Course which includes training in First Aid for infants and young children.
I have also completed Norfolk Safeguardig Children Board Safer Programme in Introduction to Child Protection and Safeguarding Children.
I am also a member of Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY), they help me work towards the early learning goals.
I carry a public Liability Insurance.
I have CRB AND DBS checks.
My Experience
I worked as a singer during the young days of my life and when I moved to the UK last 2006, my first job was caring for the elderly with Barchester Care. Due to changes of circumstances, I applied as a Midday Supervisor Assistant in my local school. My job was to assist the teachers when they needed and during lunch breaks (was working in this school for 8 years). Now I'm looking forward to working in my own setting.

I drive but do not do pick ups or drop offs, so I would need the parents/carers to drop child/children to my setting and pick them up after session.
I would regularly take the children to different children’s activities around the local area.
I would also baby sit for the day or whenever my care is needed as long as there's a space and when given notice.
