My Summary
About Me
My name is Donna Newman 51 years old married with 2 boys aged 18 & 14 years old. I have been registered with Ofsted since October 2011 in the WD3 area.
I live in a spacious 4 bedroom house with a good sized garden. My downstairs is very open plan with plenty of space to play and learn. My garden consists of a large bouncy castle, slides, football goal, play house and ride ons.
I try to offer all children a home from home environment, where all children attending feel they are part of my family whilst in my care.
My Experience
I have been childminding for the past 13 years, I have experience in working with children of all ages from newborn upwards, I also have experience in working with children with special needs. My last Ofsted inspection was graded good.
My Qualifications
CACHE Level 3 Diploma - Children and young people's workforce (Early learning and childcare pathway)
CYPOP 5 - Understand how to set up a home based childcare service.
Paediatric First Aid
Schemas Certificate
HNC in Business and Finance
8 GSCE's
My Availability
I currently have a space available, and am willing to be flexible to parents needs as I appreciate some parents working shift patterns/part time. I work term time only and do not change holiday retainers.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour
My fees are set at £8.50 per hour. A voluntary daily charge of £6 per day which includes all meal where needed and all activities/outings costs (including Willows Farm, Whispnade zoo, DJ Play Softplay, Bekonscot Model Village and toddler Groups).

We couldn't recommend Donna highly enough. Our daughter has been with her since she was 11 months old. As first time parents we were very anxious about choosing the right care for our daughter. From the minute we met Donna, we felt completely at ease and knew we had made the right decision. Our daughter has thrived since being with Donna. Donna ensures the children get opportunities to socialise by taking them to toddler groups as well as encouraging play and activities with each other. They go on regular trips to the zoo, farm and model village and are getting so many different experiences. Our daughter has made such progress with her language and independence, an area Donna encourages. She runs in every morning and doesn't look back and we feel at ease knowing she is being well cared for. It really is a home from home for her.

Donna has been looking after our little girl for 6 months now and from day one has gone the extra mile for both us as parents and for our little girls care and development. She met with us several times before our girl even started and welcomed her for a settling in day and just made our daughter and ourselves as first time parents feel so comfortable and reassured with the whole process. Donna has custom designed her house to make it a safe and effective environment for young children to learn, play and develop. Every week Donna regularly takes our daughter to farms, zoos, play centres and local toddler groups giving her experiences she would not get at a nursery. She gives us updates throughout the day on what our girl has done and how she’s getting on and is always willing to give advice and tips. Would highly recommend Donna to prospective parents!!

Our little girl has been with Donna since she was 9m old. She's now 3 and will be leaving Donna to start at nursery school. Donna has been brilliant at every age. They go to so many places each week as well as enjoy crafting and other educational activities. We were recommended Donna by a friend and are honestly so glad as our lives have been that much richer for having Donna in it. I hope we stay in touch as she's such a lovely lady x
