Hello, My name is Sharon. I am an OFSTED Registered childminder I am also a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years ( PACEY). I am the mother of 4 adorable grown-up children and a beautiful granddaughter.
I run Little Tots Day care, based in South Norwood. My setting is home-based, where children are educated, nurtured, and cared for in a friendly, caring, fun environment.
I have been a foster carer for 12 years. For the last 10 years, I have supported young mums and their babies/toddlers. This has given me a wealth of experience in working with children of all ages, with patience and understanding.
I strive to provide a positive, friendly, fun setting with quality care for babies through to 5 years old.
All our little ones are looked after in a loving homelike environment. We are greatly influenced by the fact that we believe that children can learn through play, and they learn more when they are having 'Fun'. where the children will be supervised in an environment that is safe and warm.
We provide breakfast, mid-morning fruit selection, an afternoon snack & tea.
Parents/ carers to provide a healthy meal/packed lunch, this can also be cooked food that we can warm up. We also encourage the children to drink water regularly throughout the day..
I have a lovely home from home setting with books, toys, and other learning resources and a nice garden where the children can play and explore. My setting offers appropriate and varied activities that support the children's development, with a range for all age groups. We have a lovely parks close by which we visit regularly throughout, as well as trips to toddler groups and Soft Play areas, Horniman museum, Dean City farm, splash parks in the summer.
This is more than just a job. I have a genuine love of working with children and continually strive to work in partnership with parents.
My Experience
I am a mother to 4 grown-up children, and i have a beautiful 3-year-old granddaughter.
I have 12 years of experience as a Foster Parent; caring for children between the ages of 0 - 18 yrs, from different backgrounds and abilities.
I have experience looking after children with additional needs.
Being a foster carer also enabled me to work in partnership with parents and carers effectively.
I have worked with other registered childminders in the past as an advanced assistant and back-up childminder.
My Qualifications
NCFE CACHE DIPLOMA Level 3 Award in Childcare.
Paediatric First Aid to- May 2021

When I first spoke to Sharon I knew I wanted her to look after my son, she has an incredible background and is experienced as well as being a gentle, kind and loving figure. I was very nervous about leaving my son for the first time but Sharon was incredibly kind and patient with us both, I loved the settling in sessions and seeing in person how happy and loved the children were, it really does feel like a home from home. Sharon has a lovely home with lots of books and toys, regularly takes children out to playgroups, does lots of crafts and has a beautiful garden with lots of activities. She has a genuine passion and love for childcare and early development which comes across when you speak to her. My son adores Sharon and Angela, he settled so quickly and loves going to play with his new friends. I’m so grateful we found Sharon, my son is cared for, nurtured and happy and it feels like he is being looked after by family members.

Sharon offers a safe and stimulating environment for little ones and is highly skilled in meeting their emotional and social needs as well as helping them to learn. Sharon has gone above and beyond to communicate with us and to build a trusting relationship with us and our son who absolutely loves her. Sharon genuinely cares about the children she looks after which is expressed in all areas of their care. I'm so grateful to Sharon for how she's helped my little one transition from being in 1:1 care. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Sharon's brilliant childminding service.

My little one has been going to Sharon since January 2024. She settled so quickly but Sharon was very accomodating with the settling in sessions. Sharon has become like an extension to our family and my daughter loves going to her setting and adores Sharon. It feels like I am leaving her with a family member and I am always recommending her to others. I'm so glad that we found her as I was so nervous about leaving my little one when I went back to work but I never worry about her because I know she is in as safe hands as if I left her with my own family. My daughter has lots of space and gets taken to play groups and trips regularly. Highly recommend : )

The second I saw this profile I knew it was a match for my two kids. My youngest stared at the age of 6 months and loved it ever since. My eldest goes after school as she provides a pick up and drop off service which is perfect for me and my children. My children don’t often take to people however they instantly took to Sharon and she shows nothing but love and nurturing nature to my children as if they were her own which is something I love and adore !
The environment is clean and child friendly and offers a wide range of stimulating activities and environment for my child’s needs. So far Sharon if the Best childminder I’ve met and I’ll ever have couldn’t ask for a better childminder for my children

I have just visited Sharon's Childminding setting and I have to say I'm absolutely amazed at how wonderful it is. It's the perfect setting for my little one, 3 rooms of absolute fun and a beautiful garden with astro turf, so less sneezing for my little prince. Sharon is very professional and experienced, and I feel completely relaxed being in her presence... All of this counts when it comes so trusting someone with your little treasure. My little one was relaxed and comfortable, so much so that I wouldn't even bother with settling in. Thank you Sharon for having us, we look forward to spending our learning years with you in September and all the fun my little will have with you 😊
