About Me
Hello im Cherie Pearce in Werrington I'm a child minder living in old werrington peterborough.
I live with my daughter Maisey she is 13
years old.
I have space for children during the day from birth up to school age. I am able to offer funding 9 months - 2 / 3 / 4 years old plus for 15 hours free funding and 30 hour funding.
I am fully aware of the EYFS and am able to teach children accordingly.
I also produce learning journals with lots of photos and observations of your child and their day.
I have excellent references from my parents on file.
I am professional reliable extremely dedicated to my job as a child minder.
My Experience
I am ofsted registered, I also hold a level 3 in childcare.
I am also first aid qualified and hold a current DBS and safeguarding certificates.
I also hold GCSEs in English Maths childcare and food nutrition i have also worked in the local preschool . I am a committee member for the preschool and I was a governor for welbourne school for four years.
My house has a conservatory full of educational toys, small world toys, Lego play house, cars, play mobile and Books.
I have a large garden with grass and a patio and decking area there is a sand pit, water play a trampoline and a little tikes car and scooters and balls dollies, babies and push chairs.
I have an under cover area which has a wooden kitchen fruit and vegetables to cut and cakes to cut and serve. I have a table and chairs for serving the pretend food.
I also have a walk in shed with shelves with lots of toys to choose from including art equipment, games, farm animals, musical instruments. The children are encouraged to choose toys to play with.
My Qualifications
Level 3 childcare, first aid, DBS, food hygiene. GCSE in English Maths childcare and food and nutrition and completed course in safeguarding children. governor for local school for four years.

Choosing Cherie as our first child minder was undoubtedly the right choice. She totally understands the children's needs and pays close attention to their individual ways and habits in order to create a fun-filled and educational environment for the kids to thrive in. Within the first two weeks, our daughter's vocabulary expanded and she is growing at a rapid pace. Cherie offers plenty of outings and activities as well as having a house and garden tailored to keep the kids entertained and happy. The prefect place for us providing total peace of mind. Cherie has been amazing from the get go our daughter attends the setting cheries cherubs and she's been amazing from the start. Our daughter always loves going there no issues at all. Cherie takes the children on educational walks to soft plays and childrens groups. Would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a childminder.

my two children have been going to Cherie over 2 years as a childminder setting. My children absolutely enjoy their time together with Cherie when they attend 3 days a week.
Cherie has been absolutely fantastic with my children and has been such a great teacher (childminder) my children look forward to seeing Cherie they are so happy when they arrive. Cherie has shown so much pure kindness and support towards my children from day one when both of my children started at Cherie’s childcare setting. My children have achieved and developed so much in their time with being at Cherie’s childcare settling over the last 2 years i strongly feel that how my children have achieved and developed so much in their time with Cherie has had so much of a part to play in their development skills. I am so proud of how much my children have achieved and I would highly recommend Cherie as an individual that has so much passion in her job and thrives to achieve the best possible outcome for the children.

My 3 year old daughter doesn’t warm to many adults on their first meeting, and is often nervous in new environments, but she walked straight into Cherie’s like she had been there many times before, and didn’t want to leave! Cherie is so observent of body language and unspoken cues, Ada warmed to her in seconds. Her two dogs are so friendly and so good with children too. I would highly recommend a visit to see if she’s the right fit for your child’s needs.

We met Cherie in November last year on our first visit both of our boys were comfortable with Cherie. Every morning when we drop off the boys Cherie is very welcoming with a big smile on her face and has definitely positive started the day my boys love it. I have seen improvements in my 1 year old he is very talkative after his session. Our 3 year old loves Cherie before we even get there he says Cherie will play music for me and we will sing and dance. Cherie is lovely, friendly and amazing in every way my mind is in peace when my boys are with Cherie. Cherie keeps me updated throughout the day with pictures, videos and messages which is amazing. We definitely recommend Cherie she is definitely a super lady.

My 1 year old and 2 year old have been going to Cherie’s for sometime now and as parents we can’t not thank cherie enough for everything she has done and does for our daughters! She is amazing and so kind and she would go above and beyond or anyone.
Our daughters since going to Cherie’s we are so pleased with how both our children have developed in their skills and speech and blossomed in to their own person.
I would highly recommend cherie as a highly rated childminder.

My 2 and a half year old son has been with Cherie since he was 1. I have always been hesitant about sending my son to a nursery so at the time of me returning to work from maternity leave I was only considering child minders. Despite continuous family members and friends putting doubts in my mind about him ‘not being around enough children of his own age’ I went with Cherie, a year and a half on I have no regrets.
Cherie is like family to my son, he loves her and always looks forward to the days he spends there. There hasn’t been a single day he has come back in a bad mood. Majority of days, even gloomy days, I am sent many pictures and videos of the children playing in the garden. I think this is important as, not only my son, but all children I know love being outside in nature. She has a variety of play activities for the children. Outside she has messy play, water play (on hot days), a slide, a sand pit and the children can bring toys of their choice into the garden too. Inside she has an array of toys, musical instruments and also does lots of arts and crafts activities with the children. Some days Cherie will even take the children to the park and out for walks.
Most weeks her and my son will pick books from her collection for me to read with him at home which I have always found lovely. When I was pregnant with my second baby she would select books to help prepare him for having a little sister.
My sons speech, compassion, motor neuron skills and manors are excellent and I feel Cherie definitely has a part to play in that.
Another thing I like is the different ages of children he can play and interact with. Whether it’s being around younger children (helping him be caring and gentle with smaller children) or older children (learning new and more advanced skills from them).
My son will be with Cherie until he is of school age and when my daughter is old enough she will be going along too.
Not only is Cherie fantastic with children but she also cares about us parents too and has done many kind gestures for me in my time with her.
A lovely, nurturing women who I would highly recommend anyone to.

Cherie is looking after my two children (3yo and 1,5yo) every Thursday while I go to college. When college called me that the course is starting I spent 2weeks looking for childminder with no success. On the third week I contacted Cherie , after my friend suggested her, and shocked her by saying I need her that same exact week. So she quickly arranged us to go over and meet her. Children were quite curious about everything they saw in Cherie’s house , especially they loved the pups 🥰 so the first Thursday came and was their first time staying there without me. I was very nervous as I knew my 1year old is very attached to me and never wants to be left with anyone. She cried when I left and I believe around 30min later I received the first photos/videos of my children being totally happy and playing. That put me at ease.
Even now, after having multiple sessions with Cherie- my daughter still cries when left there but nothing has changed - I still get a video 20-30min later that they are settled 😊 so I absolutely don’t worry when leave them as I know they are doing so many fun things-playing in garden, learning and practising songs and musical instruments and reading books.
It’s lovely there and thank you to Cherie for being so quick in responding to me when I felt like I’m not gonna find anyone before my college starts ❤️

This is the first time we have put both of our daughters in to childminders.
when we first met Cherie to introduce our children to her at her home she is so welcoming and calm and gentle and also very understand we as first time parents to put them in to childminders were quite anxious on putting our children in to childminders but That soon changed after meeting and having the reassurance from Cherie.
Any issue or questions we had Cherie is so helpful and she will go the extra mile to help where she possibly can.
I would like to say We are so pleased with the progress of our children getting on so well with going to Cherie’s childminders and just having piece of mind that both of our children are very happy being there.
Thank you Cherie for everything you do you are the best childminders we shall have for our girls.
