About Me
I am an OFSTED registered childminder as and I love my job and enjoy being around children.
I have been graded GOOD in my last Ofsted Inspection in March 2020..on my previous inspection in 2015 I was graded OUTSTANDING..
I have public liability insurance in place, I am also a trained in Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training,I also regularly undertake online course to keep my knowledge up to date.
I am a mother of two, and have been childminding since my daughter was one. She is now 22 and just finished Uni and I have 18 year old son and a gorgeous 4 year old old working cocker spaniel who is so friendly and all the children love her.
I offer a home from home environment and treat all children as an individual and believe every child has a voice and always work with parents to make your your child feels safe and secure and will always keep you informed with pictures and sometimes videos throughout the day.
I regularly take children to lots of parks, walks in the forest (which I love) libraries, and songtime at the library, playgroups, farms and ensure we get lots of fresh air and learning through play and get to meet with other childminders and their little ones.. safety is paramount to me and to all the children care for.
I have completed Phonics letters and sounds training and I have recently become a member of Forest Childcare Association as I regularly take the children outdoors on adventures.. which is my favourite thing to do.
I have completed an Early Years Maths evening, a Mental Health Awareness over 2 sessions and just did an online session for a ‘Safeguarding Update’ with Childcare.co.uk March 2025 to keep me updated with all changes.
We also partake in a lot of arts and crafts, painting and I love plenty of outdoor play and fresh air, in all weathers, a lot of puddle jumping and picnics are enjoyed.
I plan activities but as a Childminder I am also able to do spur of the moment things which is fun!
We talked about where food came from and next day we was strawberry and raspberry picking along with some veg and recently we went to a pumpkin farm as Halloween..
I also enjoy playing in my child friendly garden with my fabulous artificial grass which makes it always accessible to play outside all year ... with water play, ride ons, a massive chalk board on my fence, sand table and much more.
I am also very lucky to have a small country park near me too and I back onto Swinley Forest which we enjoy lots of fresh air and adventures..
My Experience
I have been child minding since February 2004, since my daughter was little and really love my job. During your child's time in my care I will deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage from 0-3 years.

My Availability
I will have a vacancy for a Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from start May
I charge £7.50ph with all trips and activities, festivals and traditions included (with a minimum of 8 hours per day but can be collected earlier if needed) and accept funding.
I currently don’t do school pick ups as only at moment look after EYFS children and have 3 children most days but on occasion I will look after 4 which I’m very capable of doing as I’ve been childminding 22 years and we are allowed to care for up to 6 per day.
The days I have put available take me up to 3 per day but like I said I can go to 4 depending on age of children.

Our little girl has been with Becky since the middle of August 2024 and we could not speak more highly of her. Our daughter settled amazingly well - not one tear was shed whereas we had a totally different settling experience when she started at nursery. She absolutely loves being with Becky and that's plain to see on drop off when she greets Becky with open arms and a big smile. Becky has fantastic facilities in her lovely home and garden - an array of toys which are both fun and educational which she changes up every day to give the children variety. Becky always takes them out to different places - on walks, to local playgroups, the library, different local parks and they are learning the whole time. Our little girl is doing so much more than she was at nursery and has a much more personal experience too. For the parents - Becky is kind, caring, approachable and her communication is great. No question is silly and Becky is always willing to help. We are so happy we chose to move our daughter into Becky's fabulous care.

My little boy started with Becky in September after being at nursery for a few months and hating it. Within 2 weeks of being with Becky, he was completely settled and goes into her house and closes the door on me every morning!
Becky takes them out nearly every day to parks, on walks, to the library and garden centres which my little boy absolutely loves. Her house and garden is amazingly set up too!
Would highly recommend - I’m so glad I found Becky and my little one will be staying with her for a long time!

My boy loves spending time at Becky's house with other wonderful kids and the sweetest dog :) They always go outodoors so my little one gets much needed run round and the house and garden is full of toys and things to explore. Becky does her best so the kids get a good nap and go home happy, clean and fed :)
Thank you for keeping my son happy and safe and having a home from home.

Our son has been going to Becky’s for a year now. I love how our son has settled in so quickly. He absolutely loves being outdoors and the children spend the majority of their time outdoors

Becky is amazing, for both myself and my 10 month old daughter.
My daughter started with Becky when she was just 8 months old and developmentally and social has come such a long way.
She loves all the fun activities and days out Becky does and she loves being with her little friends and learning from them.
Becky really put me at ease when I had to go back to work which meant a lot that I didn’t feel the need to worry after a previous childminding nightmare.
Becky makes really thoughtful gifts and scrapbooks so I can follow my daughters journey.
My daughter is now 10 months and we won’t be going anywhere until she goes to school :)

Our little boy has been going to Becky for 5 months now and she is amazing with him. Every morning we drop him off and he is so excited to see her and can't wait to get inside and explore all the toys. Becky provides a daily update on what he has been doing and is fabulous at accommodating our requests. Becky regularly takes him to the park and is outdoors as much as possible, which he loves. We are so lucky to have found her.
