About Me
Hi, my name is Sheila. I love working with children. This makes my day full of fun and smiles. There is nothing I find more enjoyable than spending time with kids as they are always a joy to be around. I believe it is a child’s right to have fun, be treated equally and have a bright outlook on the world. Each and every child that comes into my care has a great start to life through positive nurturing, learning and development. I promote children's learning and development through play and activities that are tailored to their age. I enjoy arts, crafts, cooking, dressing up, puzzles, games and a large selection of toys. I have been working at schools and nurseries as an early years practitioner. I provide a wide range of activities which are stimulating for young minds. We visit local playgroups to give children the opportunity to socialise with more children.
I am a very warm, calm, responsible and caring person. I offer a high level of care in a secure, safe, stimulating, fun-loving home environment and offer well-planned play opportunities for all children to develop positive relationships and reach their full potential. All activities are based on the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum. I have a variety of age-appropriate toys and a garden for outdoor activities. The children learn through play which is fun, educational and both child and adult-led. I take the children to the local library on a weekly basis so that they can participate in reading activities.
Please note I just had my inspection, and I have been given a rating of good by Ofsted.
I follow EYFS planning in my setting which is implemented through play.

I am a qualified Childminder with over 14 years of experience. I take care of children and am attentive to each one's personality.

I have fully registered childminder with OFSTED.
I have a level 4 in the Management of Quality Standards in Children's Services.
I have a level 3 in understanding how to set up a home based childcare service.
I have a level 3 in Pre-school Practice.
I have a level 3 Paediatric first aid
I have my Advanced Child Protection in place
I have a level 2 in understanding the safe handling of medicines.
I have a level 2 in Food safety
I have a level 1 in working with child
I also teach French to children from 0 to 11 years old
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday 07.30-1830.
I will be available for school drop-offs and pick-ups at Ark academy primary school, Honnilands school and Enfield East field primary school depending on flexibility.

Sheila’s kindness and friendly personality put my mind at ease when searching for the right person for my daughter.
The services she provides, such as the school pickups are a great bonus for when I work. Not excluding the extra activities that my daughter looks forward to engaging in with the other children.
I can highly recommend Sheila due to her flexibility to the needs of my daughter and her attentive approach in always keeping me informed of anything I need to know.

Sheila's setting is stimulating with plenty of activities for the children. My DD has plenty of activities that keeps her engaged. She always looks forward to her next session. Other than indoor play, Sheila encourages outdoor activities such as going to the park and local library for stay and play.
She always updates me of my DD's via videos and photos. Sheila's reliable, friendly, approachable and flexible I will highly recommend her.
