About Me
Hi my name is Michelle and I have been an Ofsted Registered childminder since 2008.
I was rated GOOD in my last inspection.
I live with my husband and we have 3 beautiful grown up children. I have a warm loving family home from home setting. The little ones in my care enjoy learning through play and most of all we fill our days having lots of giggles and fun.
I provide the little ones in my care with a variety of activities through the day such as painting, drawing, reading, writing, playdoh, sticking, song time, building, numbers/counting, puzzles and imaginative small world play.
The children spend lots of time enjoying outside play in my safe, secure child friendly garden which is accessible all year and weathers due to its artificial grass and decked area. Here the children have space to exercise, run, jump and play on slides, rockers, push alongs, ride ons, sand/water play or role play in the playhouse with its kitchen. We enjoy sharing stories on the swing seat as well as enjoying nature watching the birds on the feeders, butterflies and busy bees.
The little ones love spending time having fun imaginative adventures, exploring, insect hunting, making camps, having tea parties /picnics, watering and watching plants and fruit grow.
We also spend some of our time out at local playgroups, singing groups, libraries, parks, on picnics, garden centres, farms, shopping trips and the local pet store.
I follow the Eyfs framework so observe and track the childrens development. I keep a daily diary for the little ones with all the information you may need nappys, sleep, food etc as well as what we've been doing that day and any wow moments. There is space for parents to comment, add info you feel I may need/ like to know too or that you may forget to otherwise mention on a morning hand over.
I provide the children with lovely healthy home cooked meals with plenty of fruit and veggies.
I am currently set up to accept
employers childcare vouchers, the Government tax free childcare scheme and the 9month/2/3/4 year old funding.

Michelle has cared for our daughter for 2 and a half years, since she was 1, and we truly believe she has had the best start in life. Michelle provides a lovely home setting with a wonderful garden for the children to learn and play and we have been so impressed with our daughter’s development. Our daughter loves the varied days at Michelle’s with themed activities and local trips out, proudly bringing home her artwork or stories about the day!
We instantly felt reassured by Michelle who sends updates during the day, and we’ve always had peace of mind knowing that our daughter is safe and well cared for. We were very fortunate to find such a wonderful and experienced childminder who our daughter adores.

Our two children have been fortunate enough to be in Michelle’s care for almost 2 years and the contribution she has made to their growth, development and personalities cannot be praised highly enough. Michelle’s approach is very much child-lead, inspiring little ones to grow in confidence and ability whilst providing the right amount of structure to give a real sense of security and comfort. Michelle’s home is beautiful and the ideal setting for little ones to learn and play, indoors and out.
Both our children are vegetarian and one has a cows milk allergy which was fully accommodated and nutritious and tasty meals were provided. Michelle also provided many fun days out to local parks, toddler groups and local shops- the pet shop being particularly popular!
We can’t recommend Michelle highly enough!

Michelle is a wonderful childminder. We were very lucky to find her and my son absolutely adored her. I was very anxious about leaving my son with someone else as he was only 11 months and he was a lockdown baby so it had been me and him everyday for 11 months. Michelle was very reassuring and let us settle him gradually over a few weeks. I had nothing to worry about as my son loved being there and she gave me regular updates throughout the day. She clearly cares very much for children she looks after and her home is a lovely nurturing environment.

Brilliant childminder with buckets of experience. My daughter loved going with Michelle and has learned a lot whilst having fun. I would definitely recommend Michelle to anyone.
