About Me
Hi there, my name is Hayley, I am an Ofsted registered Childminder graded Outstanding for the second time. I live in Sawston, South Cambridge with my Husband Neil and our three children aged 13, 8 and 6. We also have a cat called Chester and a dog called Luna.
I work alongside my Assistant Tina, a former primary and preschool teacher. Tina has a huge amount of experience working with babies and young children, which ensures the care and education on offer is of an excellent standard.
We provide a home from home environment that your child will be immediately welcomed into. Your child is unique and our aim is to ensure they thrive, are stimulated, and learning through various types of play. We use an online system called Baby’s Days to track development, and ensure that each child is making progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage. We adapt the way we deliver this in accordance with each child’s abilities. We are passionate about ensuring each child is able to access fun and enriching activities and resources, that they are offered age-appropriate challenges and equal learning opportunities.
A typical day will include lots of garden play, cooking, crafts, trips to the park, shopping, painting, reading and many more. I encourage my mindees to express themselves and use their independence to choose the types of activities they wish to pursue. We also encourage deep exploration of personal interests, effective communication with carers and peers, and support with all aspects of social, emotional, personal and physical development. Healthy foods and drinks are also available throughout the day, we promote independence with choice, self care, and expression by supporting the children as they navigate their early years.

We regularly undertake training in a range of subjects to ensure we can offer the best to your child.

My Experience
I have been a childminder since 2015 and have extensive experience from newborn to 12 years, I also have my own three children who are great fun to be with. I have recently gained additional experience working with children aged 2.5-4 in a local preschool, and newborn to 2 years whilst delivering baby classes in the local area.
My Qualifications
Full Ofsted approved childminding course.
Paediatric first aid
Level 2 award in food safety
