About Me

I am currently only available for babysitting! If longer hours are needed, I may need to discuss brining my 1 year old son.

I am a 28 year old, fun, loving, enthusiastic and caring person. I am very reliable and will work as hard as I can and to the best of my ability and to ensure I am supporting the families needs as a whole!

Once I finished school I enrolled onto my two year college course (level 3 children and young peoples workforce), throughout this course I did my first aid course with children and adults and also my food hygiene which I passed. I have had plenty of experience working with children with a range of ages from birth to fifteen years, for my college course I had to carry out 720 hours of child care with children five years and under.

I have gained several skills including, bottles, changing nappies, keeping children entertained, ensuring they have all their physical needs taken care of, whilst being supportive and caring.

My Experience

I have a lot of childcare experience as I come from a big family and have had experience looking after my new born cousins up till when they went to school. At the age of 14 I started working 5 days a week from 3-7 looking after three children all under 6 years, I worked for them for a year before moving on to retail work for a while. I then went back to that family when I turned 16 before shortly leaving again as they employed a live-in nanny. At this point i then got a job working for the stanbrough park high ropes course as I knew this would include working with a lot of children! I was fully trained on the course but due to legal reasons the high ropes course never opened so I was not able to continue my work there.

At this point I had finished college and I knew I had to take the next step in my life, this is when I decided to take a break from education and become an au pair in America for a year from, January 2015-2016, whilst the application was going through I found myself a job working in a toy shop to gain more experience. My application then got accepted and I found a great family to work for with two boys who are one years and three years old, I was enjoying being out here but eventually it become too hard for me being away from home and I have now come back to the UK. I want to carry on working for children as I love my job out here it's just a shame it's so far from home!

Once returning home I found another job nannying for a 7 and 9 year old looking after them 3 days a week. For the rest of the week I continued my search for another nannying job and soon I started with another family as well, with a 5 day old, 3 year old and 7 year old.

Between this time I also did a vast amount of night nannying, this included me attending a family home and supporting the new parents from 9pm-7am, looking after their new born baby throughout the night.

I have continued to nanny on and off and I have done a lot of babysitting. For the past 2 years I have worked at Oakland’s college. I started in the college as a safeguarding officer and soon transferred to the role as a PDR tutor. This is my current role and even though I do love my role. I miss my role as a nanny.

My Qualifications

I have my level 3 diploma in children and young peoples workforce, I also am fully qualified in both babies/children and adults first aid and food hygiene. I have my health and social care qualification at distinction level. I also have C and above in English,Maths and Science. Alongside several different safeguarding qualifications and Level 3 in teacher training.

I have done several types of nannying including night nannying and also event nannying. I have references for both of these.

I also have a full UK driving license and would be 100% comfortable to drive with children in my car!
