About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder graded 'Good' at my last inspection (September 2019). My registration allows me to provide care for children from the ages of 0-17yrs, and I can also provide occasional overnight care for children aged 3+ months. I hold a paediatric first aid certificate. I live with my husband and our two daughters who are 22 and 14 years old, we also have a friendly cat. We live on Beauchamp Road, Upper Norwood. I have a full clean driving licence and my vehicle is insured for business use.
We enjoy spending time outdoors and my house is situated near several parks which are within walking distance. I have a garden which is child friendly and I attend local playgroups on a weekly basis.
I have a wonderful selection of indoor and outdoor resources for children of all ages and gender which provides stimulating play and helps children to learn whilst they enjoy themselves.
I provide healthy, nutrional meals and snacks and my menus are available upon request. I received a Food Hygiene Rating of 5 on my food safety inspection in December 2022.
I have recently completed the Early Years Professional Development Programme delivered by Education Development Trust which increases practitioners deep subject knowledge across the core areas of Communication and Language, Early Mathematics and Personal, Emotional and Social Development.
My Experience
I have an experience in childminding children from the age of 6 months. Each child is cared for according to their need and ability.
I value, respect and have cared for children from differing racial origins and cultures.
I have experience of caring for children with special educational needs and have looked after children with medical conditions and food allergies.

My husband and I couldn't say enough good things about Sarah. As soon as we met her we had no concerns about her looking after our son and I can genuinely say there wasn't a moment when I was worried about him while in Sarah's care. She very evidently cared really deeply for all the children she looked after and did a range of activities with them including park visits, craft and water play. Her house and garden are well kitted out for little ones and her daughter was a great friend to our son too. Sarah looked after our son from 11 months to 2 and there were tears all round when we moved away. We considered Sarah a real expert on all aspects of child development and often benefited from her advice. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone.
