About Me
Hello, my name is Ranikqué Hayden-Best. I live in North Cheam/Sutton with my partner and I love children! I have four bothers and three sisters, I have spent the majority of my upbringing with children and siblings and this is where my first love and passion for being around them started!
I am a British citizen, born here. My father is from Barbados and mother is half Jamaican half English.
I am well disciplined but very caring, friendly and loving. I am a non smoker, non drinker, healthy eater - I love fitness! I have an exceptional amount of experience looking after babies, toddlers and children and have always been very well trusted with this.
I used to be a full time nanny but I transitioned into the construction industry and having completed my degree I am now a freelance Quantity Surveyor. I still keep in touch with my university and get involved in some of the events they have on. Even though I work in construction, my love and passion for working with kids has not faded away. I would absolutely love to work with a family on an adhoc or part time basis.
I also have a small business that I work on in my spare time. I make natural products like oils, creams and soaps. I really enjoy working on this business as it is a passion of mine and I like that my product helps others.
I try my hardest to live my life by the sayings "be, give, spread love" and "have courage and be kind"...I usually create other quotes about kindness and the life I wish to live and write them in a journal..I just think the world needs it. I love nature and going on walks. I also love spending time with my family..they're amazing.

I have many many years experience working with children. I have worked with children aged from new born - 17.
In addition to this I have done a few years voluntary work in a primary school local to me as a teaching assistant for year 4 and also at the after school club. With this I worked closely with some of the students with special educational needs and learning difficulties, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have also worked as a private tutor to a wonderful little boy with special educational needs.
During my time in the childcare indstry I have worked with several families. I have had a number of tasks and responsabilities, some of which include:
- Preparing meals including batches of cooking
- Weaning
- Forming and practising a daily routine
- Daily walks and activities
- Encouraging development
- Comforting in times of discomfort
- Before and after school care
- Managing meal times
- Bath and bedtime routines
- Ensure the children are looked after, safe, and enjoying themselves whilst with them
- Assist with homework
- Organise both indoor and outdoor activities, including play dates and classes
- Supervise the children at all times, creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
- Encourage good social manners
- Overnight nannying
- Stay with the children throughout the full day if they were ill or under the weather, making sure they are smiling, happy, and feeling their best. Also, administer medicine when and if requested to by the parent
